    Hello Girls

    This may seem alittle crazy but I was just wondering when I would have to stop wearing make-up and having my eye lashes tinted/permed before I go in for my op????
    Aug 4th. I really cant wait now :crazy:

    YOU CAN GET YOUR EYE LASHES PERMED? whaaat?
    as far as i know you just have to go to the hospital on the day of your op with no makeup on. and no fake tan or false nails. anything that isnt your own basically. i doubt it applies to the darkness (or curlyness?! ) of your eye lashes.

    LOL!!! Yes eyelash perming is big business with beauticians Lorah, your reaction made me giggle!

    I would’ve thought already coloured/permed lashes is fine as no different to treated hair, I think it’s just nails, tan, deodorant or any kind of extension, substance or piercing they need you to remove.

    You will be given a sheet with all the do’s & don’ts prior to surgery. They say no nail varnish, but I had it on my toes still. But no false anything. No shower creams or moisteriser for 24 hrs. No eating, drinking or chewing gum 6 hrs before. Water up to 2 hrs before. Also no alcohol for 48 hrs!!

    i got told off for having water! even tho it said on the sheet it was fine!

    im not too much of a girly girl rio so i didnt know about the eyelash thing. sounds weird tho.

    :shocked: Haha Lorah, im a beautician so its normal for me!
    Just a sticky rod placed on the eyelashs and perm solution added, abit like perming the hair. 45mins later and you have natural curly lashes lol.

    How did your op go Lorah? Whats your before and after sizes etc?

    i have tinted eyelashes, and i didnt even ask about it! but theres nothing on the advice sheet about it, so im guessing its fine as i had my op ysterday!
    just dont put makeup on on the day of ur op, or fake tan 7days before. (i found the fake tan bit really hard, i hate looking like an albino lol)
