So i paid my deposit and recieved my reciept for it. I then got a letter stating what i already knew ie time and location
however, i havent been given a time for surgery? I also havent been told when my next appointment will be, will i need one with a nurse? they havent told me about my particular implant without being asked. Just feel like im not gettin enough information
Ive tried emailing but get no reply, when i havre chance to ring it goes to an answer machine! not very happy
just wondering if anyone else is experiencing this?
Ruth your not the only one…
My op is on tuesday 4th however I had to remind MYA that I hadnt paid (I have now thank god, I was worried they would cancel my op)
After my consultation with my surgeon, I was led to a room on my own for 40mins to then be told that I was “forgotten about”.
I also had a none response from the email address given and feel I didnt have enough information, Iv had to research everything iv wanted to know.
I was only given one contact number and that was my nurses mobile. Which I later found out thats not the number to call for making payments etc.
Felt like I was left in the dark abit, I just hope my experience on my op day is alot more organised!
I have to say this forums helped alot thanks to all the girls that are having or had their BA’s.

can neither of u get in touch with ur patient coordinators? they should always be available.
Im not sure who mine is, I was only given the card of lead nurse karen reeves!

oh :S
u should have been appointed a patient coordinator! they deal with ur payments. they check up on you to see how yr doing, answer ur questions etc. the nurse is just there for ur pre-op and post op appointment check ups. you should complain!
xx
Deffinatly agree the communication needs to be better, i was talking about this yesturday acually, even though the coordinaters are realy lovely, the communication is not, i found that my records were not on all mya computers, so i had to be put through to 3 different sections before acually speaking to someone who knew my information..
i have not been given a time yet, i also never had a telephone call to tell me the surgeon never turned up at the consultation so i had to go there twice! 1half hour drive! which messed up work days off.
also when i ask for something to be sent out, i never get the letters..? quite frustrating, i just hope the aftercare is more reliable.
ruth, you should call and find out who ur patient coordinator is to the clinic you went. they have mobile numbers also(i have been texting my coordinator alot as i keep thinking of new questions all the time lol). u should deffinately get in touch with them. which clinic did u go to?my pc also gave me the direct number to the london clinic if that helps 02078415240

im at the manchester clinic, ive got her mobile but never sure when i can ring or not?! so thats why ive been emailing and ringing the actual clinic
gunna ring her mobile tomorrow i think as im not in work! im just not happy with her at all, she seemed lovely when we first met but ever since i paid the deposit it feels like shes forgot about me. im not naive tho i know she has many other patients but i think she should make you feel like the only one! this is a huge thing for me… blahhh annoying me lol
I had my consultation with my surgeon on 15th July but since then I haven’t heard anything either. My BA is booked for the 17th August and I’m really excited about it! I’m going for my pre-op with the nurse on Tuesday 4th August so hopefully I should find out what time my op will be at and what time I will have to be at the hosptial. It’s my understanding that you have to see the nurse for a pre-op 2 weeks before you have your surgery, so I think you should mention this to your PC.
your pc is the first person that you see….mine was wicked and always replied to my texts (even the ones late at night!) if you have her mobile then call her on that, that is what they give you them for. not sure if it is the same in manc as london i didnt get my admission time until 3 or 4 days before. the nurse told me that is normal because mya have to wait for the hospital to release them. dont panic. defo call them and speak to someone xxx
