    Hi i was just wondering how many days people find it okay to lift their children ?
    Had my pre op today and the nurse said at least a week – 2 !

    I have 2 girls aged 2 & 3 so not lifting them is gona be hard especially in and out the car?

    How long did yous wait ? x

    I’ve been told no heavy lifting for 6 weeks including my daughter! X

    I was told the same mine are older do not a problem but my friend has had to put off having her ba for that very reason 🙁

    Hiya, i wasnt told anything about kids in particular but was told 2 weeks for lifting things. My baby just turned 2 and i started lifting him day 16 as i went back to work then and my fiance taught him to climb into car seat whilst we were both off work. He is doing it most the time which is good but when he is having a wobble i have to pick him up and feels ok but wouldnt carry him far as i think it would hurt for him to press against them hard. Hope it all goes ok for you 😀 x

    Aw thankyou 🙂 my main concern is my eldest daughter as ive just been told shes autistic but shes all for me and not her dadwhich makes things harder !! So hoping that she lets him comfort her etc when i cant lift her shes 3 but weighs a tonne lol !! x

    I still manage to cuddle and stuff hun, just can’t lift her as it puts a strain on the implants and stitches. Wouldn’t want to ruin all that lovely work 🙂 x

    Hey hun my daughter is 2 & 1/2 & I was lifting her by 3 weeks & she weighs about 2 stone, I’m now 5 weeks post op & lift her quite often now but obviously still try to avoid doing that where possible. My daughter’s a mummy’s girl doesn’t want Daddy to do anything for her & that didn’t change after I’d had my op but she’s never been short of cuddles though because she can climb up on me herself & cuddle me any time so it’s been fine 🙂 x
