    Ladies,
    The nurse told me not to drink booze for 2 weeks before D-Day and 2 weeks after. Have people done this or ignored it?! My op is 8th December so I’m missing out on the Festive drinking season. Do feel I should listen to the nurse though as think my body should be as healthy as it can be for the op, but it’s hard to ignore the vino calling on a Friday night 😉
    What do you think???

    well my op is 9th jan so two weeks before covers christmas anfd new year so lets hope not! 🙁 xxx

    Alcohol thins your blood so best to avoid it if you can. Higher chance of bleeding and prolonged healing time if youve got thin blood from drinking. My op is the 11 December and I shall be avoiding the drink from now. Make up for it at New Years when you’re well on the road to recovery, theres no point jeopardising your new boobs!! 🙂

    My thoughts exactly Kylie, but thought it was worth asking! Even my boyfriend is doing a 2 week ban so I’m not doing it solo, so that’s a relief.

    I was told 1 week before and just not until anti biotic are finished by surgeon so thhats all I did xxxxx

    ive also been told 48hrs either side , i dont normally drink but its my birthday thursday (boobie day) so me n the girls are having a few drinks saturday night i was told it was fine to do so xxxx

    My nurse told me no alcohol 48 hours before and 48 hours after because after my op the last thing I wanted was a drink for about 2 weeks lol xxx
