Hi Guys,
I had septo-rhinoplasty 4 months ago. I am happy with the results but worried about the persistant swelling on my bridge and tip. I still not able to breathe properly although I do have occassions where I can breathe through both nostrils (I’ve never been able to do this before). I had two grafts during surgery so it was a complex and intensive surgery. I am happy with the overall shape of the nose and the bone shape is great. However, I am worried about the swelling on my bridge and tip, it doesn’t seem to be going down. To be fair, I am doing heavy weights, been doing them for about 4 weeks now, I know this is not helping but I was wondering if it was normal for a lot of swelling to still be so apparent after 4 months po?
I can see the shape of my nose underneath the swelling and it’s going to look great, it’s the swelling which is concerning me and I really hope my weight training is not destorying the result. I haven’t knocked my nose, but I do feel pressure in it after a session at the gym, not huge pressure just enough to prevent me from bretahing through my nostrils. I just want to be reassured that my healing progress is normal and that the swelling will go down and I will be able to breathe properly in the future?
As I have been able to breathe and seen the swelling go up and down suggests the final result has not set in just yet. Furthermore, the nose doesn’t feel healed yet, it definitely feels like I have some way to go.
If anyone has any experiences of their healing progress then please do let me know so I can be put at ease.
Thanks guys and have a nice weekend.
