Hi girls
I know there was a thread recently on this but what’s the deal with the bloating?!
I’ve put on 11 lbs in a week and my belly has been huge and hard. Been taking senokot and it is helping but wonder if anyone has any tips on helping to shift the bloat! Worked out about 2 lbs has been new boob lol but that’s still 9 lbs in a week!!
Any idea what causes it? I thought it was the pain meds causing it but I only took 2 lots. Is it the anesthetic maybe??
xXx
Mine still hasn’t gone down!! I was told by my nurse that it can be like it for about a month :/ xx
oh great I’m having mine done tomorrow, totes not looking forward to that! x

Hi Hun, mine was awful too, i put on about 6lbs and looked pregnant with bloating lol, looked very glam, not anyway, my tum went down about day 12, drank water, lots fruit, lactulose. I heard it’s the anaesthetic and meds. I’m on only paracetamol now as pains almost gone. You should feel better soon xxxx hugs xxx
mine didn’t go down till a few days ago, I’m nearly 3 weeks post op x
I’m 5 weeks po on Tuesday mine has only just entirely gone if I’m honest .. Like not just tum my legs face all of it :)… Dolcolax helped me and just flush it out with lots of squash or water! Avoid salty foods .. Sleeping upright isn’t just a random thing I did it till 4 weeks becoz it genuinely helped drain water if I didn’t I woke up looked swollen :l… And I have been very windy haha it’s so lovely !:) your tum will prob settle same time u feel your boobs settle 🙂
Oh and buy those yakults drinks or activia yoghurts … It’s the lil things that help 🙂
Annnnnnd eat prunes . Maybe mix them in hot porridge ?… I feel your pain haha I looked awful!
