Hi, I had rhinoplasty 4 weeks ago tomorrow and two weeks ago when the nurse took my cast off my nose, I was expecting her to then take the splints out my nose because it felt as if I had them inside. My nurse said that the stitches will desolve and fall out. So I stupidly thought that they must be big and these big things were going to fall out my nose soon.
When I later got home I wanted to feel the thing in my nose and when I went to touch it it just felt like the skin inside my nose. All fleshy. So the first thing I done was went onto the internet to research about this big lump. I couldnt really find anything but one person on the site said something about it could be from the stitches and sometimes that happens. It does make sense.
The problem is, is that my nostrils look so odd and not even. The nostril with the lump is the one I do not like. I’m thinking maybe this lump might be making them look a bit different. The one with the lump is slightly higher more pointing up and the one without is more slit to the side if you get what Im saying.
The lump goes pretty far into my nose, I dont even know how far because I cant fit my finger that high yet (lol lovely). It comes all the way down to my nostril and then curves above the top of my nostil. So I can see it and feel it before I even put my finger inside. The part above my nostril pushes the skin out a bit so thats why I think it might be whats causing it to look uneven. I know I got to wait it out but I was wondering if anyone had the same as me and how long the lump took to go away.
I know I will have to ask my surgeon but I dont see him till next year.
