Been to have plasters taken off and my one week po for my ba. Didn’t look in the mirror at mya but now I’ve gotten home I’ve looked and definitely have double bubble going on. I feel disgusted. This was a reaug. Does anyone know if this will settle as the implants drop I’m now 9 days po and should be feeling great about my new boobs π
No she didn’t say a thing. You can see the shape of my old boobs then the new implant lower than my old crease. I don’t know if this will stretch out in time. I’ve been reading on double bubble and freaking myself out as more surgery would be required π xx
awww hun, that’s awful, it may go, and just be part of the settling process xx
Aw no I’m sorry to hear this Kirstie, can you not request to see a nurse again? xx
I’m absolutely gutted. I’m going to wait a few more days and see if there’s even a slight change and if there’s no improvement I’m going to ask to go in and see if they think its anything to be concerned about. Xx
Aww hun hope ur ok π try not to let it upset u, I no it’s hard but at least try wait a little while b4 worrying cos they do change so much. Wot size did u have before? Have ur creases been lowered to fit the bigger implant in do u think? Speak to ur pc if ur worried that’s wot they are ther for. Big hugs hun xxx
Just had a look at your photos are you sure that it isn’t just because this is your second op and the implants are sitting high due to swelling etc and they still need to drop in to place?did you have unders? X
Do you think that could be it? That’s what I’m really hoping but when I googled double bubble the pics looked the same. I know googling things usually is the worst idea but I was just so shocked when I looked in the mirror. Xx
I really think you should wait and see what happens once they drop as it may just be that they are sitting so high. You can’t Change them at the moment so try not to worry about them too much although I can imagine how you must be feeling, if they don’t change I’d go back and say you’re unhappy xxx
Kirstie can I add you? I had reop due to double bubble and bottoming out, I have a pik of the double bubble just before reop on start of page 6. In most cases the double bubble look does sort itself out so I wudnt be too concerned yet, can take upto 6 months too xx
Hi hun, your result you have got is due to the surgeon having to over dissect the natural inframammary fold in order to centre a big implant behind a small breast base. It is double bubble. Go see your surgeon xx
Oh no, poor you Kirstie. Can double bubble only happen with unders? My surgeon advised me to have overs ( although Hospital group and Mario Russo said unders!) because I may get it with unders. Is that true? Can I add you? X
Oh Kirstie, really hope u gonna be sorted, so sad to hear bad endingsβ¦.
Who is ur surgeon no0108? thats what i am scared off-double bubble ;(
Double bubble only occurs if the implant placed is larger in vertical height than your own breasts vertical height. For example my breast vertical height is a maximum of 13cm the implant I currently have is 11.5cm in height and my new implants i am due to have are 11.8cm in vertical height. Also it is party do with choosing an in experienced surgeon who wants to please the patient and doesnt want to say no to them. My surgeon was worried i could have got double bubble with a 470 cc implant as the height was 14cm so he basically told me he would not do it. He has chosen me a 440cc short implant which has the same dimensions as the 470 but the vertical height is 11.8cm therefore there is no chance of double bubble. So really listen to your surgeon and do not push for any bigger implant than what they recommend because there is always a reason. Xx
I didn’t push for larger size or get warned about double bubble I just researched myself when I had my dressings taken off. The nurse didn’t say anything when she saw. I had mr traynor. It does appear to be improving very slightly. I’m not booked in to see my surgeon again til 4th feb xx
Me too! Thanks. It’s good to have this forum to speak about it π xx
Kirstie, not sure that is double bubble. Usually it looks like your own boob tissue is hanging off the implant. I doesn’t look like that in your case, more like the implants which are held high under the muscle just need to drop down. It’s very early days, try not to worry, hopefully ts just the settling in x x x
Hi kirstie I’m in with mr traynor on Tuesday for my BA.did you have understand or overs Hun and what size implant?why were you having them redone Hun xxx
Lucy thats not only way its caused, I have double bubble and had it with my 380s too, mine was caused because I was slightly tubular had my creases altered and lowered and then had unders put in, so it didn’t fill and stretch out were my old crease used to be, so I now have my old crease still visible and the lowred one x
I’ve got 605 in the left and 695 in the right. I had them redone as I’d never been happy with my first op which was done by the nhs when I was 17, id had really small implants in. I’m not entirely sure if I have unders or overs but with low amount of pain off my first op I’m guessing they are overs. I’m just hoping it sorts itself out I spent this amount of money to feel good not hate my boobs even more. Xx
Kirstie I’ve just looked at your piks, they are definatly improving massively, they are still very high, and compressed, when they drop you should feel so much better about them. But I do think its a big improvment from the first photo you put on xxx
