    Anyone changed trains here to get to Preston? There is literally time to get off the train and walk to the one I need for Preston- I have no time to get lost or stand for ages waiting for it to appear on the screen! My train to Carlise from Newcastle is the first one, so please don’t suggest coming earlier!

    Is it easy to find your way around? Are these two platforms close together?

    i live in Carlisle the train station is quite small only about 4 platforms with 1 bridge dont worry hun 🙂 xx

    I live in Carlisle, the station has eight platforms, but it’s easy to work around, the Newcastle train will get into five (I think) and usually you leave platform four to go to Preston, which means you will walk over the foot bridge towards the exit and it’s the platform in front of the double doors. Xx
