Although it was going to be 2 days late anyway to accommodate them they’ve just rung me 2 days before to say the clinic nurse won’t be in she’s taking annual leave, can I get to Bristol today or Tuesday or Cardiff Monday although I’m only in Cardiff till Saturday. I’m a non driver n have to rely on public transport with no money( since I’ve just paid 6 n half grand) or my boyfriend who works week days…dno what to do 🙁 hoping I can have it at my gp’s

They cancelled my 6 week po check for this Saturday too. I work full time so couldnt go when they suggested and I have to phone them in February to re-book as they dont have February’s diary yet!! They should make a note to ring me at the very least.

Aww really hun?! I’m quite upset I’ve been messed around too like pretty much everyone else throughout my mya journey it’s not right 🙁
Had a bad reaction to the meds aswell now I’ve gotta wait to see a nurse at my gps next Tuesday..12 days after my op when I’m itching to know if I’m healing okay, I don’t even have a fricken pc!! So just rung them back & awaiting the clinic manager to call me back..we’ll see. Hope you get it all sorted Kylie xxx

Have they not got someone covering annual leave?! I’ve seen 3 different nurses at Newcastle one of which was a bank nurse who travelled round to do cover!! You really should have a post-op to make sure everything is ok hun. I must have ben really lucky cos my pc and the nurses have been fab!!! X

This happened to me @ducky01 and I sent a VERY strongly worded email basically demanding an appointment. Funnily enough, I got one. Push them really hard. You didn’t spend all this money to be mucked about xx

I’m at the newcastle clinic and even though I don’t hear from my PC (amy) as often as I did before booking my op, she’s still fab! Having a few questions and concerns so I rang the clinic and even though she couldn’t speak to me immediately, she txt me within an hour. I think it really is just pot luck with MYA whether u get the customer service and medical attention u need and deserve, especially after paying all that money. Really hope u get seen to hun, I would b out of my mind with worry over whether everything was healing right xxx

You expect better, not only for the money, but because this is SURGERY! With implications for our health if we are not looked after. It was elective surgery, but surgery nonetheless, and we deserve the proper care and attention. If they make an appointment for you, they should stick with it and have adequate cover, like any other hospital. The NHS would never do this to so many patients. Come on MYA, what are you playing at??? Rant over girls, sorry! Hope you get sorted x x x

Exactly!! You are soo right no0108 I am so pissed off haven’t heard back from them at all, hate liars & bad service when a complaint is not priority but cancelling needed appointments is 🙁

Like Ellie said…You should demand an appointment seeing as you have paid for a service. It not on to expect you to visit your GP’s!

I’ll be ringing them up first thing, shame I don’t even have a pc to help me!! Just don’t wanna get all worked up I’m an emotional mess as it is…might get my mum to do it haha xx

Soo been on the phone to the nurse this morning trying to get me to go to Cardiff today with no means of transport..the only way to get there is if they organise a car else I won’t be covered by mya if an nhs nurse were to find or miss complications..I just don’t know what to do, I’m not being difficult it’s just impossible for me to get to a post op app unless its tomorrow as planned.
Sad face xx

Would they charge you for the car to Cardiff Hun? They should cover all costs, threaten them that you will go to a solicitor for not abiding by their side of the contract and providing you with the aftercare you have paid for. Grrrrrr x

Mya mod where are you?? I need help & don’t have a pc!! spoken to the nurse I just can’t get to another app I do not drive I am skint I have just paid £6000 to be told my post op app has been cancelled. My app was tomorrow 9 days post op! The nurse is at Cardiff today I am only 20 miles away & they can’t even organise transport if I really am risking infection & my health why the fuck not? I am having a bit of a panic now just want to know how I am healing! I haven’t even had one apology I HAVE JUST FUCKING PAID £6000!!!!
