Had my op yesterday and just got home today have weighed myself and I’ve put 6lb! I only had small implants so surely they can’t weigh that much!? I am really worried about gaining weight during recovery anyway as I can’t go to the gym so if I can put on 6lb in two days that’s pretty depressing 🙁 xx

    Hiya babe
im very conscious about gaining weight but what you have to remember all ur doing for the first few days is eating, and not moving, so your bound to put on a little weight as well as retain water (i was terrified of going toilet for ages so i had alot of water weight)

once u start moving around i suggest going for a little walk around the garden or up and around the road, jut to get all the food uv eaten digesting and moving properly, hope this helps babe 😀

Cheers Hun, you’re right but only had my op yesterday so just thought 6lbs seems a lot to put on in one day! I wonder how much the implants actually weigh!? I will just be careful with my diet and make sure I get up and move around a bit! Can’t afford to put on 6lbs every day ha!! X

Cheers nips! Lets hope so! My metabolism is shoddy anyway from years of yoyo dieting so I only have to look at a cake and I put weight on ha! Thanks love x

Haha @Belle you sound just like me! Metabolism of a slug and only having to look at a cake! Ive put on a stone in total since my op 2 months ago but Im back at the gym now doing war with it. I used my op as an excuse to slack off with my diet and have ‘treats’…DONT do that! lol. It will come off again but its certainly easier just to not put it on in the first place.
Weight of implants will vary on size obviously but I had 495s and was told they weight about 2.2 lbs.

It won’t be actual weight gain, you gotta run with the fact 1lb of fat = 3,500 excess calories so unless you’ve sat motionless and chowed down on 21,000 calories worth of cake within 2 days then its most likely, water retention, implants, swelling, GA etc etc 🙂 so don’t worry drink lots of water & avoid salt to flush it out 🙂 xx

You’re totally right kylie, I’m just going to focus on being good and sticking to a healthy diet. I think the main thing that’s worrying me is not being able to go to the gym at all for 6 weeks, that seems like such a long time! I think some of my weight gain so far must be bloating as it seems a lot to put on. Ill stick it out and hopefully it will go away! X x
