Just had my pc on the phone she was trying to tell me that they are going to have to cancel my op booked for Saturday as the nurse hasn’t yet written to my GP told her that I don’t bloody think so have contacted my GP myself waiting for a call back now so I can get a letter and fax it to them. Not liking the service so far a pc who I can’t get hold off and a nurse that doesn’t botherdoing her job EXCUSE ME BUT HAVEN’t paid £4500 to be messed around if I knew that they could be so unprofessional I would of gone elsewhere. ;(

0pI didn’t think your GP had to know anyway??? I thought that was your own decision wether to tell them or not!
The service is bad…. I’m behind you on that.
They can’t just cancel your op when it’s only days away.. You have probably planned your time off work/help at home whatever.
It’s so frustrating how things can’t just go smoothly with MYA.
I was so stressed the weeks coming upto my op because of it xI think that they may have over booked or something looking for excuses but will be seeing my GP on Thursday and getting them to fax the letter they are waiting on ain’t letting them cancel on me or put me back unless I get a huge chunk off what I paid. If they do cancel I will be making sure that I get my money back and go elsewhere they all seem lovely at mya when you first meet until u hand your money over then they couldn’t careless could do without all of these hiccups was feeling excited now only have dread

0pMy op nearly got cancelled, nearly got made to pay an extra £400, and then the date was rearranged!
Honestly I was sick with stress, I wanted to enjoy the whole process an then I was left wondering if they would even be expecting me as I walked into the hospital.
They do seem to overbook….. Stand your ground and REFUSE to move your date!!! XxxJasmine
0pThis is horrible. All I’ve seen is bad things about mya recently. They blocked a girl on twitter for putting on it that she still didn’t have a post op appointment. Don’t let them change your date ! I’m so scared that they are going to start and mess me about
I won’t be paying anything more then I have and as for the date change they can take a long walk of a short cliff been looking forward to this for years have arranged time off work and for my daughter to spend the week with her dad as its half term he booked the week off to help me out so def won’t be letting them push me out xx

0pYeah deffo they don’t bloody get it planning round kids is so difficult I’ve put mine at end of march so I’ve got them off for Easter holidays they really need to fix up and stop messing people about

I’m pretty sure your go knowing is your choice anyway?! I seem to remember on a form giving my consent for the them to tell my gp? I’m not sure it’s compulsory.. I’d check your contracts etc that you have x

I am seeing such shoddy service here it’s unreal… Does Mya think this is ok? Maybe when we all start using other companies they may realise its not all about the ££££..!!Danielle
0pI’m so sorry to hear tis Kim!:( certainly the last ting you want to be worrying about this far down the line! I have to agree with jasmine I’ve heard an awful lot of negative feedback Bout MYA since I started using this forum things like PC’s being impossible to get hold of, poor communication about admission times, surgeons being quite rude and abrupt although not making away from them their incredibly skilful work and just general customer care overall! This if I’m honest has hit the nail on he head for me. I cancelled my consultation the for today over a week ok due to having to attend to a funeral and was spoken to quiet rudely on the phone because I’d stated I didn’t want to re make an appointment there and then! Sorry MYA but it seems we are simply seems we are just paying people and once you’ve got your thousands off pounds off us you couldn’t care less!

0pMy nurse didn’t get my go letter and the surgeon insisted. At the hospital they were amazing. They put me back a couple of hours. Gave me some diazepam to relax and they had it sorted within a couple of hours. It really doesn’t take long to sort. Ensure they get it sorted. I promise you, the people at th hospital are amazing.

0pDanielle , you seem to have read my thoughts exactly…I have only been on the forum a couple of weeks and although I have read many happy stories I have also been startled by the stories of what can only be described as lack of customer care, post op care and in some cases borderline negligence …I started to feel wary , now I am re considering giving Mya my hard earned money and more importantly my very precious body.
Argh Page went down again ealier have only just been able to get back on. Spoke to my GP going there Thursday morning she’s gonna get the info needed sorted and faxed off while I’m there so panics over unless the world ends before Saturday or i have been given the wrong fax number I will be getting my boobs X

0pi was at newcastle clinic had my op 9th jan julie nicholson was my pc its shit u have had a bad time with them but julie is fab obviously some of there staff enjoy caring for customers waaaay more than others! who was ur pc and what clinic? the nurses in the hospital are amazing sooo caring!xx
