Hello girls I thought I would share my story with you all as found this really helped me leading up to my op.
So I left my house at 9am to get to London Fitzroy for admission time 11.30. Journey was really easy and hospital was easy to find too. I arrived at 11 and was shown straight to my room by my nurse Margaret she went through where everything was. She said there was a fair few people before me so it would be a long wait which I was quite upset about but understood this was the way they deal with it and I was just unlucky to be nearly last. I had my blood pressure taken and went through some paperwork. Mr singh then came in and said I would be next because my blood pressure was low and be didn’t want me getting too dehydrated. I got in my gown, paper knickers and socks (so sexy!) and with in an hour at about 1.30 my nurse came to get me and walked me to a small room
And laid me on a bed. The aneasatist then came and introduced herself and explained what would happen, I felt a little scratch in my left arm and she was asking me questions about at my job, I then felt a bit dizzy and next thing I knew I was in recovery! I kept trying to sit up but the lady with me told me to relax, I was wheeled up to my room not long after And just felt very tired and quite uncomfortable. I was SO hungry so within 20 mins of being back in my room I was asking for tea and food. This was at about 3.30. I had a lovely jacket potato with beans and cheese and lots of tea. I then was so tired so tried to sleep but had two nurses come in and then me singh who then said it was fine for me to go home at 5.30! I didn’t get much sleep at all last night was very uncomfortable and just feel very bruised which is the same today. But I am so happy with my results already just can’t wait to see the proper results with all this strapping off. I am just about to add some pictures.
