Hey, I had my pre op a couple weeks ago and the nurse sent the letter about my op to my doctors. I received a letter from my doctor yesterday saying they received a letter about a upcoming medical procedure and my new address is no longer in there catchment area, so have closed there records with me. I’m going to register with a new doctor tomorrow, but now I’m worrying that my procedure will be postponed. I’m going to call MYA first thing tomorrow to try and get it sorted, I’m just in a major panic that they will cancel my op. I e already taken the time off work and booked a hotel by the hospital and arranged for my mum to take care of me, so postponing the procedure just isn’t an option. Any advice…or any one been in a similar situation? x

Dont panic, it wont be a problem, only reason thet tell ur doc is so that it can go on your record and after the surgery I was given a letter which I then was to hand to my doctor so as you are registering tomorrow all will be fine, register and then post op you hand your new surgery the letter – all it does is just detail you have had surgery, size implants etc…
    Good Luck x

Dont worry your op wont be postponed. You dont attually have to inform your doctors at all, just mya highly recommend you do so gives them an opportunity to get any back ground history that could be relevant. . X
