Hey, has anyone carried on smoking post op? I know it’s not the best thing in the world to do, but I’m going out of my mind not being able to move or do things for myself, and I think the only thing that will keep me sane is smoking…I also think it might help with the ‘bunged up’ situ, lol? x

I smoked post op and to be honest it didn’t help the bunged up problem much. The nurse said i was heeling really well i am 7 days post op today. I don’t think it has made any difference to me

I smoke but not so much but I personally rather be safe then sorry, they say smoking slows down healing process but I’m pre op but like Rachel mentions if your healing really well it should be ok? But then again I don’t want to? advice you to ask your nurse maybe and explain how you feel x

Hey. I really struggled per op and smoked loads post op. back to 10 a day. However I’m less than 3 weeks post op ad you can’t even see my scars so if anything goes wrong now I won’t put it down to that. Purely depends on the individual. X
