Hey girls! So upset! I have my surgery this Friday which I have been getting so excited for… But Sunday I found a lump on my boob which is a bit tender. Went to my GP today and he thinks its is to do with my period as I am due this Saturday. But to be sure he thinks I should postpone surgery and check next week if it has gone just to he sure! It’s weird I had a female health assessment last Tuesday with Nuffield Health, it was basically a full body test including blood tests and all the other female things I can imagine… And she checked my boobs then an they were absolutely fine! It was Sunday that I noticed it! Liklness is it is down to my period as I know that you can suffer from tenderness and glands etc. but I really dunno what to do…. What if I postpone surgery and it was only my period, I would have to wait until beginning of June as I have two holidays in April and May so would need to wait. Or what if I do go ahead and it’s serious 🙁 🙁 xxxx

Ahh hunni that sucks… But at least you know it’s there.
I guess the Dr knows best and as disappointing as you might find postponing it might be for the best- just to get the all clear first. At the end of the day your health should come first . Your Dr is best to assess and refer you if needed but I do hope it turns out to be nothing and your boobies are a short time away 🙂 xx

Hey Mrs Rich, Im so upset about it 🙁 Luckily he doesn’t think it’s serious, but because he recommended postponing surgery I guess I should listen to him. He said if I check next week and its gone then its fine but if not I should go back next Friday. I’m hoping Thursday it may dissappear and then ill be ok. But I don’t think it will change in two days 🙁 will keep you updated to how it’s going. Btw do u mind if I add you as a friend please? Xx

It’s stressful enough finding a lump anyway but then to think you may have to re-arrange your op too- I can see how disappointing that could be. Try to stay positive hun, and yes hopefully it is time of the month related and will pop off by its self… And if not cross that bridge when you have to.
Be thinking of you hun, yeas add away 🙂 xx

I know it’s so frustrating too! If it is period related which I’m pretty certain it is then its all just come at the wrong time. Will have to see how I am in a couple of days. My health comes before my boobs, just so annoying coming at this time! Thanks so much for your support and thank you will add you now 🙂 xx

Hi Rinaule, I hoping this is what it’s is. And the fact I had a female health assessment last week which was fine, plus all my blood tests were normal makes me think its all ok. My main concern is I have never experienced lumps of tenderness in my boobs around my period before 🙁 I called my breast (who I’m having the surgery with) and they said I can postpone if need be but it wasn’t my pc I spoke to as she has finished, I’ve emailed her to call me tomorrow and explained in full everything and asked surgeons thoughts etc. so will see how it goes. Fingers crossed it disappears in time! Only time will tell xxx

Have it checked I found one last summer had it checked went for an ultrasound thing on it turns out it’s jut benign thankgod and I was told I could have it removed but never did anyway after surgery was told I can’t have it done becoz it will ruin my boob with massive scars and NHS proberly wouldn’t do it becoz of implants so if it was just a lymph node or such get it off before surgery but hopefully down to your period 🙂

Hopefully it’s down to your period & silly hormones hun but best get it checked, although it sets you back you’ll get there eventually, you’re on the right path just need to take a diversion 🙂 will be worth it in the end. Big cyber hugs hun better to be safe & put your mind at ease first xx

Hey ladies, just an update to let you know that I couldn’t go ahead with the surgery! 🙁 my surgeon wants me to have the clear from my GP and wants to see me again first before operating. Although it is extremely annoying and I’m gutted to have to postpone for a few months now, at least it’s the right thing to do and they are being good about making sure everything is ok first xxx
