Implant (Implanon) and Surgery Started by: Kyla Chase

This was also something I was interested in knowing as I too have the implant kyla! It seems to be most ladies on here are on the pill, which I know can’t be taken two weeks before or two weeks after, but not too sure about the implanon xxx

I have the impact and had pre op n they are fine to stay in throughout your procedure, they just told me not to get it changed two weeks prior to op, my op is on 3 weeks xx

You leave it in and surgery doesn’t effect it, because it’s hormone based, same as the injection. The pill needs to be stopped two weeks before and after because it contains blood thinning ingredients and that can stop your blood clotting properly and dvt 🙁 xx
