Ok so my op is on Monday (yay) I have a mild case of OCD (linked to my emetephobia I suspect) and it is so important that my house is clean all the time. My fiancé is amazing and helps so much but he just doesn’t get it right bless him. I don’t know how I’m going to cope not been able to clean properly for 7 days at least with my kids making mess 🙁 Any tips would be great! xxxx

I really feel for you, I’m OCD with the cleaning and it was a nightmare for me. I’ve got 2 dogs and kids too! My hubby was straight back to work the day I got home so he wasn’t really much use! I ended up mopping the floor myself after a few days cos I cudnt cope much longer! I had my hubby lift washing baskets n stuff but everything else had to wait!
Is there anyone else that can help you?
Aww good luck for Monday 🙂 xx

I’m ADHD, but therapy has allowed me to be able to organise before it can get messy. One thing that helped HUGELY was planning the menu. I made freezer soups and meals ahead of time that I could throw in the microwave or oven (I made healthy meals to speed up recovery), and let my husband cook things that created very little mess. He wasnt allowed to use the food processor and ten million pots, and every utensil, and every mixing bowl, so I made him keep meals super simple, like grilled chicken with salad or something. It only required a grilling pan and cutting board and a couple of plates which helped keep the kitchen tidy! The rest of the house was more of a challenge for him as its usually my territory, and it was definitely a challenge not being able to do things, but I didn’t want to risk injuring new assets, which would only make me more stressed. I was feeling much better by day four, and able to do a few more things, so maybe you will be lucky and not have to suffer for a whole week! Xx
