Pre op jitters! Words of wisdom needed Started by: Alexandra

I had my op on wed and I had 385 unders with dr traynor. You have nothing at all to be worried about. My admission was 8am, having anasthetic by 9:10 and signing papers to come home at half 2! The cannula is a tiny prick and they put anasthetic in and you just drift off and next thing I knew I’m awake. It felt like I’d been asleep for 10 mins honestly it’s just brilliant. It’s not a negative experience at all. The pain afterwards is what u need to contend with. Just keep dosed up on your meds at the correct times. Even set your alarm to take them through the night for the first couple of nights as it really helps for morning. I’m 3rd day post op now and today’s pain been the worst so far but it’s to be expected. Do not worry about the op, you will be so fine! Xx

You will be fine. I’m having my third BA tomorrow and it’s a lovely experience. I was so well looked after I didn’t want to leave the hospital lol! The worst part is walking into theatre it’s a bit scary but as soon as you lay on the table you will be put at ease. You will feel a warm sensation in your arm as you gently drift off as someone talks to you, split second later you wake up and you wonder if you’ve had the op or not as no time seems to pass!! With new big boobies of course which makes any pain worthwhile. Someone will be with you until you wake up and you will be looked after the whole time. After my first op I came round and cried, the last time I was giggly and shaky, both totally normal so don’t worry. You will prob be a bit sleepy for a while after, I kept drifting bac off to sleep. Just try to drink plenty afterwards it will help recovery. Don’t worry, just think about having nice boobs for the summer!! Good luck xxx
