All through the night i have had constipation and took senokot, but now i just feel sick. Everything i have eaten since my op on Tuesday has not shifted. Its like its all in a bag sloshing around. I really want to try and avoid being sick incase it pulls on my stitches as I’m only 4 days post op. Any advice would be gratefully received. I have a feeling its because of all of these tablets i’m taking. My boobs are also like two big sore balls eurgh 🙁 x

Are you taking codeine I think it’s called? I had that after I had my appendix out and I was so ill from it, felt light headed and sick all the time. My aunt used to be a nurse and she advised me to stop taking it 🙂
It could be because you haven’t been to the toilet properly since your op, try a different laxative and see if that helps :)xx

We’re all in the same boat Laura. Hannah has recommended rennie deflatine, so got some coming later. My op was Wednesday but haven’t been toilet either. I think it must be the co-codamol. I only have 4 or 6 of them left now anyway so will prob have to move on to normal pain killers soon. Xx

My kids had a bug on Wednesday and Thursday. I think it could be that :-(. Done nothing but be sick on an empty stomach. I wish it would shift :-(. Gonna try and sleep it off x

My friend has brought me some tonic water. Apparently good for sickness because of the quinine in it xx

Hi just thought ide say if you are feeling sick from the painkillers and combination of the constipation which is also through the painkillers your gp can prescribe you anti-sickness tablets and lactalose which both work wonders. Good luck feel better xx

If the pain is bearable id start takeing paracetamol instead as well as the antibiotics, i no there not as strong but that sick feeling is horrible and at the time id rather of had that bit more pain than the feeling sick xx
