Ok ladies I’m confused about sports bras, which are the best type for after surgery and for the following weeks as there are so many different types on the market??? You’re told to wear a sports bra but nobody tells you what sort. Some are cotton and don’t have much give and some are stretchy as anything! Some are more like crop tops, some come up really high, some too low cut and some have separate cups rather than ones that squash everything down. My zip up m&s bra is great but so tight I have a more comfy one for bed but maybe it’s not supportive enough? I also got a padded sports bra which is tight and supportive for when I want an extra bit of boob, are these allowed? I’ve heard racer backs are best can anyone help as I don’t want to do the wrong thing??? X

Hi hun it can be so confusing at first. Dont go for anything that puts too much pressure on at the moment but you dont want it too lose fitted so theres no support
Tbh i only used a sports bra for bed and that was a £4 one from tesco and was fine just for bed in the day i used m&s post surgery bras they are great as they sit lower then your incisions so dont dig in and they got no extra seams they comfortable and supportive.
You might need to try a few different types of bras at first to find the right one for you aslong as they doup at the front or back and not too much pressure but have enough to support you you will be fine x
