    was just wondering a few things , when does the sickness off anaesthetic wear off ? and im so bloated , havent been to the toilet properly since my operation , and when can i lift my arms up above my head and when will i be allowed to shower ? and also i have pain in one shoulder and one arm , whats that all about ? any advice appreciated , im 5 days post op xx

    I’m yet to have my BA but in terms of anaesthetic it can take a couple of days depending on how long it takes to work out of your system 🙂 just keep sipping water 🙂
    Maybe try some laxatives if you’re having trouble going to the loo :)xx

    I’m 8 days post op and still struggling with all those issues Sam? Plus I’ve now got burn and pinch marks from the strapping where it was ripped off by the nurse and they keep weeping and my bra sticks to the areas! Horrible! She told me I can shower tomorrow….. Finished all my meds so all the aches & pains are creeping in, keep on top of them with paracetamol? Hope your feeling better soon x

    thanks for the replys i have taken laxatives for three days in a row and they havent worked ! 🙁 . i look like im pregnant ! and rachel i didnt have strapping so god knows how that feels . i feel for ya hun , hope you feel better soon x

    Just get some fruit down you? Apples/oranges/pineapple/strawberrys they worked for me! Or anything that usually goes straight throu you! After my nightmare of getting my strappings off I had a maccies! Worked a treat Lil! x

    I was terrible with constipation last night, never had it before had to have 2 senekots liquorice and prune juice and thank god it worked, hope u feel better soon xxx

    If I don’t feel better tomorrow I’m going to try some other brand of laxatives ! I’m never like this normally either. Gonna spend all day eating fruit aswell lol x

    Babes it’s the cocodamol making you constipated!! Nightmare try taking 2 dulcolax. Are you on cocodamol and teamadol? Once you’re not in pain so badly check with your nurse see if you can take tramadol and paracetamol instead of cocodamol xxx

    I feel for u huni,touch wood iv not been in pain at all so stopped taking cocodamol,It’s horrible I wernt even taking much either,yeh get some fruit down u huni take it easy xxx

    The hospital have only given me co codamol to take ! I don’t have anything else and they’ve all ran out now so fingers crossed I will be able to go to the loo tomorrow what a NIGHTMARE lmao !!! Where did u lot get tramadol from ?! Xx

    I only had cocodamol Hun and my antibiotics,then took nurofen and paracetamol xxx

    Co codamol disagrees with me so I just took paracetamol for a few days after op. Nurse told me to avoid nurofen/ibuprofen as it thins the blood. X

    I took 2 Dulcolax on day 2 & it worked a treat by day 3!! I’ve been very thirsty so drinkling lots of juice which helps you go. Xx
