i have booked my surgery in 3 weeks time and I still dont no whether to go over or under the muscle… i know under the muscle is suppose to be the more natural look which i want … but i have seen some pictures of over the muscle and they look good too.. please help and advise will be much appreciated!!
well i went for all the measurements yesterday and i said to the dr i wanted the natural look .. but he said because my muscles when tensed move outwards he said he recommended over the muscle.. im just scared incase they look stuck on.. i dont have much breast tissue im currently an a/b cup.. i just dont want to make the wrong decision ..
If you don’t have much tissue there is a massive chance that you’ll see the implant.. And like with overs there’s rippling… But if he said u can’t have unders then u have to go with overs but obv like the bigger the implant the more obvious things are
Like Emma, I chose unders because I didn’t have much breast tissue and feel unders would be the best option for my body. I think it’s not what’s best, but what’s best for you specifically because unders/overs look equally great on the right body type. Xx
I had over the muscle and i love them 🙂 trust your surgeon if he advises overs! They know what they’re talking about and have done thousands of these ops.. But then again, if your certain you want unders i think they look equally as good. Maybe you should ask your surgeon the pros and cons of each and go fom there? Good luck xx
Thanks girls! I’m thinking unders! I think! The natural look is the most important thing for me…. With under the muscle is it still easy to create cleavage?? or are they more firm to push together
Hi Emma, I am having 410 unders in June, when I had my consultation with the surgeon, he said unders would be better for me as I have not got a lot of breast tissue + if I had overs it would look like they had been stuck on + if I bent forward u would see the shape of them. But every girl is different…is it okay to add u please, so I can ask how u got on? Also u r having yrs done 10 days before me x x
Hi Rachel- what size unders did u have? I am like u + haven’t got a lot of breast tissue. I am having 410 unders in June. How do feel now? X x
Hi emma, I would say if your surgeon has said overs, then they will create the best look for you, like you say when you tense your chest muscles and they move outwards, this would also happen with an implant under the muscle, so when you tense, the implant would move out towards your armpits and be distorted, which obviously wouldn’t look like natural boobs anyway. I have overs and was only an A cup to start with and mine look really natural. A lot of the time overs can even look more natural than unders as they are softer and move like a natural boob, they are also easier to create cleavage and things 🙂 With me you can’t see the implant at all and no rippling, but you can get both of these with overs and unders, so honestly I would trust what your surgeon advises, they know what they’re doing 🙂 xx
I had the choice of having overs with 445ccs or unders with 470ccs and I chose overs 🙂 I’m very happy with the results! It depends what size / profile / height implant you’re having as well. All of those factors will change the way your breasts will end up looking xxx
Yh Lizzy cause u can add me! Which dr r u getting to do your surgery? I know I should just listen to the surgeon because he will know best… It’s just worrying incase they do look fake… I’m so indecisive it’s ridiculous!….I’m trying on all the different sizes on Friday so that’ll hopefully be an easy decision! Xx
I was against overs, wanted unders only but in the end had overs and sooooooo happy, they look so natural! no regrets at all! so trust ur surgeon, they now what is best!
I had unders due to lack of breast tissue..i was a b cup..my surgeon advised me that there is less chance of rippling and capsular contracture..also with unders there is less interference with breast screening..but I do think they are not hard to create a cleaveage with, with a push up bra..I do beleive that overs are more moveable and easier to push together..but they both look great..trust what yoir surgeon suggests because the result depends on your body xx
Hi Emma, thank u, I have got Mr Singh doing mine. I was like u, very indecisive, but the surgeons are good at advising what size + whether or not to go under or over. They know by the breast tissue etc x
I had overs 7 months ago an mine deffo don’t look natural coz I’m quite skinny up top but had awful lose skin I couldn’t go under but mine look so stuck on .. I do t mind but if u don’t have much tissue and don’t want the Waterlon look go with under wish I could have tbh xx
heyyy I went to try on al the different sizes today and I have decided on either 445 or 470 … going to see the consultant on sat to decided for definite whether or not to go under or over the muscle … i know the bigger ones will be more obvious if I do decide to go over …. would you recommend the bigger option or smaller option im not sure and wouldnt want to be disappointed with if I went smaller.. im just not sure which one to go for…. does anyone have any pics i can see of 445 or 470 over or unders so I can make my mind up! lol thank you xx
theres not much difference at all between 445 or 470, i had 450 unders 13 weeks ago if u wanna add me, but my advice is go bigger because what u try on and what you come out with are completly different, u will find u will get boob greed and regret not going bigger x
I am in exactly the same situation but having an uplift too. My main concern is that they look natural. One surgeon told me definitely under the muscle as I don’t have enough breast tissue but another said over as I will have a high risk of ‘double bubble’ for unders. Very confused with such different opinions and feel these can’t both be options x
