My admission time was at 9.30 but I didn’t go down till about 4.30pm, I was put on a drip as I was really dehydrated and hadn’t eaten or drank for about 17 hours! initially I was meant to be a day case but because surgery was so late I had to stay overnight and my mum had to go to the hotel on her own. So last thing I remember is talking about my job and then waking up in the recovery room and crying for my mum (such a baby I know), I felt well drowsy after that but had some soup and a sandwich and felt better. I slept okay in the night woke up a few times but I guess that’s normal plus the nurse kept checking on me. I had to get my mouth guard changed quite a few times because of the bleeding but it’s stopped now. I was discharged this morning and now I’m back home resting 🙂 not in much pain just a bit uncomfortable!
