Have stitches removed if they are sticking out? I’m 4weeks po and on my left side I have white sticking out,which I’m guessing is my stitches, do I need to see a nurse to remove them or leave them till my 6 week check? I would have to travel an hour to see a mya nurse so if I have to can I go to my doctors? They aren’t bothering me but I just want to check its normal at 4 weeks? Thanks guys xx
I had a little stitch problem at 5/6 weeks but mine were quite red and sore and i thought it was infected. I cleaned it, trimmed it, cleaned it again and popped a dressing on it. The clinic nurse said that was all they would have done for me. About a week later the little stitch popped out so i went to my own nurse who dressed it for me and when I saw the surgeon on weds he said it was all healed again 🙂 xxx
Ok thanks for advice I looked this morning and the stitches on the one side are now covered by a scar? And my other stitch at other end still hanging out, il see how the look over next few days as they don’t bother me just didn’t know if it would make them infected, they are not red or sore yet so all ok, thanks girls 🙂 xx
