Dr G is really against taking arnica pre op – he said it thins the blood which is the opposite to what he needs. He did say to me that he doesn’t really think they do anything post op but I started taking them day one post op and I’m day eight now with hardly any bruising left.
I didn’t take much with me as I got changed pretty much straight away but the most important thing is to take something that zips/buttons up to put on for leaving – I just went in a track suit. Take some Vaseline as well as your lips will get so dry almost instantly and I took slippers to walk to theatre in. Also take some bits and pieces to keep you entertained. Good luck! X
