I just told my mum that I was planning to get my ba this summer after years if suggesting I might do it. When she realised this time I’m seriously going to do it she went mad. She said that if I do it then I am alone because she doesn’t agree with it and she is telling me straight not to do it. She too is flat chested so I thought she would understand but she said its not worth the risk. I’m so sad… How can I go ahead with it now 🙁 ?

That sounds exactly how my mum was a couple of months ago. I have my op tomorrow and as she is flat chested has said if mine look good she may get hers too – complete turnaround! I even got some flowers, chocs and a card off her today!
Once I had sat her down and explained how I felt and that I wasnt going too big, just in proportion, she seemed ok. Think they just worry about you going through the operation.
Talk to her even take her to appointments with you she may soften and come around. Good luck xxx

Sorry to hear that, she sounds a bit like my mum…I was really scared to tell her but I wasn’t going to let anyone stop me as I’ve wanted to have the surgery for a long time and I thought if she loves me she will support me and eventually get used to it…which she did. I mean she had no choice at the end of the day it’s my body, i’m an adult and if it’s what I want I’ll do it. I say do whatever makes you happy. I can honestly say it’s the best decision I made! I’m so happy. Try not to let it get you down I’m sure your mum will come to terms with it like Sarah said i think mum’s just worry a lot. Cheer up 🙂 x

My mum was the same said it was ridiculous when I said I was thinking of it. I then told her the week before I was defo doing it. I had it done yesterday and i spoke to her today and she was still like I think you’re mad etc and that she didn’t think I had a problem with my boobs etc. At the end of the day you’re doing it for u noone else. Noone really agreed with me doing it but I went ahead anyways coz I knew its what I wanted xx

My partners family all thought I was crazy and didn’t understand why I was doing it, ESP at 23 with a 8 month old & the risks involved but I hated my empty saggy sacks, I hated taking him swimming and holidays in a bikini so I was changing it. But after my op on Wednesday I showed them the b4 &after pic’s they have all said oh I can see why u wanted it and now they look so good! Good luck xxx

I know how you feel, my mum was dead set against it right up until the day of the surgery but when I came round and she saw the results she said she didn’t think they looked fake!xx

Aww hun your Mum is just probably worried about the potential risks of surgery.
Give her some time to settle down then try to explain to her how upset you are with your current boobies.
I’m really bad but I mentioned it briefly that I’d like it done then the next time I’ll tell my parents is the night before the op. At the end of the day, it’s my decision and I know they’ll be fine they’ll just worry about an op.
    Best of luck x
