I’m down for a day case in highfield hospital in Rochdale with Helena Antoniadou, but how long are you actually in for when you’re a day case? Like how many hours? Say if I was first on the list (what is the earliest time in the morning will they do the op too btw?).. I’m trying to get organised with my little girl and who can take me on the day… My partner is away on a course that day for the night so I need someone to take me, but need to know how long it will all take as I don’t want them waiting for me if its going to take from morning to night…. X

Hi I was at Preston with mr traynor had to b there for 9.30 went down at 12 n I was out of there at 4. But it depends on how u feel. They wanted me to stay a bit longer but I felt fine and was up and about. Just wanted to get to hotel and relax there tbh lol hope this helps zx

Hey ladies I was day case today had to be there 7:30 went for op at around 10am left hospital at 6:45 pm it’s been a long day!!! Good luck xx

Ah thanks Hun.. Haha no worries Sarah! Just a bit up in the air really… Got my boyfriends friend who can take me (he’s a really good friend and a taxi driver anyway so will be fine to drive me the hour trip, he won’t be seeing anything either!! Haha) but I don’t want him waiting for me all day if it takes most of the day, neither do I want him driving an hour there, then an hour back home only to then pick me up n take me home again… That’s 4 hours for him which is unfair…. I could get my sis to pick me up after work but she doesn’t finish until 5 so wouldn’t get there until at least 6pm… Xxx

Yerrr I thought of that, I’ve txt my sis so just waiting to see if she can… Just didn’t wanna arrange that for them to tell me I could go home at 3pm then my sis not be able to pick me up until 6… Xxx

Ye but then at least ur not panicking about sorting out when u come round Hun. Then u can just chill out n wait till she picks u up. I had my bf with me which was bit of a nightmare coz he was bored n rushing me to feel ok lol xx

I was 1st in and was in for 7am then in operating room at 9am. I left just after 6pm. I felt fine but they said they couldn’t remove my drains until after 5pm. x

My admission was 8:30, was in theatre by 12:30 as someone gave me water when they weren’t meant to and I was out by 6ish after going to the loo and eating some food :)xx
