Hello ladies,
How long did you waitn before hitting the gym and getting a cheeky sunbed sesh?? I am 2 weeks post op tomorrow!
xx
I have my BA Tuesday and I’m going on sunbed after a week I think but gonna wear a vest so not showing my top half lol.
As for the gym I’m going to take it one day at a time. I do spin an power walk, god knows how I’m going to be after a day of not doing it lol xx
It’s meant to be 6 weeks, especially for gym. It’s killing me nit working out and I’m 3 weeks po tomorrow. Sunbed I’m not sure on. Xxx
I went on beds 1wk po was told if I put a towel or summet over boobs u b fine x
Thank you Girls, right gym is more important then sunbed, i already went on a bike almost 2 weeks post op. But my current conditions is of a granny!!!
I guess running just never be the same again!
@Gail, i know how you feel hun! OMG no way i can wait 6 weeks. Thanks Sharla, I may have to pay my salon a lil visit soon!
xx
Be really careful with the scar on the sunbed as the skin will be so sensetive. Even if you cover it, I’d consider putting suncream on too.
I am worried about not being able to workout after the op but I think light exercise should be fine after a few weeks.
You couldn’t put suncream on your incision so early on you’re supposed to wait 6 weeks to put any sort of creams or products on your incisions. I have been told even with a towel UV will penetrate through a towel and it isn’t a good idea! Exercise you’re most certainly have to wait! These are sacrifices we’ve made ladies and its only for a short period of time. Best to do as the professionals advice to avoid causing. Or increasing risks of problems, complications or delayed healing! xxx
Fair points ladies, i did think the towel will not be enought, best to cover up with plasters/tape Thank you!
xx
Yeh I can see where your coming from, I just here having no tan and can’t do without exercise. I used to run but when I had my initial consultation with The hospital group the surgeon there said running was the worst thing for making boobs sag and he wouldn’t recommend it ever so Im power walking and spinning now lol xx
Can we not use the body moisturisers with tan in, surely that’ll be ok maybe just avoid around the scars..looking a bit pale and not liking it 🙂
Never running again!? That’s gotta be a joke surely!! I’m 9 weeks postoperative and am back up to 10 mile runs just got 2 decent shock absorbers And strap them down! I didn’t do any exercise at all until 6 week check tho! Xxx
Well Rosie I didn’t go with that surgeon in the end so what he says is probably lies anyway lol, I didn’t click with him at all. I’ve never had any boobs to jiggle about anyway so I will see when I get mine lol. I know what you mean though I couldn’t imagine a life without my spinning xx
just get the fake tan out 🙂 san moritz is amazing stuff and super cheap
Wowzers I cannot imagine my life without running ever again!! @ Rosie did u have your first run 9 weeks post op!!??
Good bra is a must!! Xx
Hi girlies, I’ve been told no sunbed or fake tan for 6 weeks, sunbeds be careful as scars will go dark so won’t heal as well. They say avoid them as long as poss and put plasters or tape over your scars to protect them. I hate feeling pale so will defo be doing this myself after my op! x
Yeh Monica I tried before then but they were too painful but now I wear 2 sports bras and do hat runs. Few twinges here and the nothing major!! Deffo wouldn’t give up. I’d have rather not ave boobs than give up exercise. The main reason had to get em done is cos of weight loss from exercise so swings and roundabouts!! Xxxx
Thank you Rosie, wow 2 bras lol ! i think it is too early to run so cross trainer and bike for me. and same here, my boobies were going south due to weight loss as well :0( i am 2 weeks post op so have to take it easy anyway! but can sit and do nothing for 6 weeks! xx
