    Hi Zoe,
I had my op yesterday and I felt exactly the same as you’re feeling now pre op – scared about going under etc… Everyone will tell you not to worry about it (because there is no need to), but it’s only natural to be nervous/worried! I think the worst bit is after you’ve seen the aneathasist/surgeon and your waiting to go down (in your very sexy socks), but honestly it all happens so quickly after that… next thing you know you’re waking up and being told all has gone well and you’re on your way back to the room :)!

What are you havng done hun? I have 385 in my right and 415 in my left, round natrelle overs and if it’s any constellation.. I’m surprised at what little pain I’m in (after reading a few of the ladies complaints on here recently – but everyone reacts differently!) – I think I was pretty worried about how I’d feel after to be honest.

    Excited for you 🙂 xx

    Hey Jackie!

It’s so true! Everyone keeps saying ‘oh you’ll be fine’ ‘etc etc but I seriously have a phobia of hospitals and I don’t know why as I’ve never had anything done before! So I’m seriously terrified of walking down to theatre (I literally think I might run out 😐 ) and seeing all the needles! I don’t know why I’m like this as I’m not scared of pain just hospitals and everything that comes with it! But you’ve made me feel that bit better 🙂 it sounds like it all happens so quickly and fast so I really should stop worrying!

I’m having 340cc extra high profile overs textured soft touch from a 32C/D.

Very glad to hear that you aren’t in slot of discomfort as recently there’s been alot of people saying how much in pain they are in!! I have a high pain threshold and will sit though 4 hours of tattooing if I must so I’m really hoping it won’t be too bad. I’m a fitness freak and work out 4 times a week so that I think will be my biggest hurdle! Have you been taking painkillers or have you not needed them? And what is this dreaded bloated tummy I’m hearing about!? Is this true!? Happy healing babe! Xx

    Hiya Zoe,
Yeah – I am totally same! I have a HUGE fear of needles – I’m a massize wuss (you should of seen me have my pre op… I had to get one nurse to talk to me to distract me whilst the other did the blood test…), so unlike me as I too have sat through a 3 hour tattoo sesh and yet… turn into a big girl when anyone walks near me with an injection!! I have had about 6 ops in total (not cosmetic) and I absolutely hate hospitals… (I mean.. who does like them!? just the smell is horrid!!)… but the waiting is most definitely the worst bit… lying in your hospital bed… you can’t help but be nervous. However… the collection/walk to theatre/being put under literally happens in 5 mins. They don’t mess around. They have someone asking you questions whilst the aneathasist puts the initial first dose of anaesthetic in (which makes you feel drunk) and I promise, you don’t feel that bit – after that… they give you an oxgygen mask give you another shot and… off you go! I woke up and the nurse was lovely… let me have a look and then I went back to my room and dosed all afternoon :)! I was also really worried about having the drains taken out (not sure if you’ll have these? Dr Schiavone uses them on everyone) but… literally.. you don’t even feel them come out!

They have given me my antibiotics and co-codamol… I haven’t tounched the co-codamol, I had two painkillers last night and then another two this morning at 7 along with my first dose of antibiotics and I’ve not had anything else since and I feel feel. I’ve not suffered sickness from the antibiotics and Ive not suffered from a bloated stomach… so I generally think it depends on you as a person! I think the co-codamol they give you can cause bloating… and some people say the saline they give you during the ops makes you bloated… but like I said – I’ve managed to get away with it 🙂 xx

Jackie I could cuddle you! I feel HEAPS better after reading this!! It was that dreaded walk to the theatre and seeing the room that made me feel sick when I think about it! It honestly sounds like I’m worrying over nothing and should man thr f*ck up!! Lol!

Like I absolutely love this forum as its do helpful and useful to others but at the same time it can be a bit conflicting listening to everyone’s opinions of this and that as it just confuses you and makes you analyse things 10x over like for example the drains! I have to have them too but that worried me because people said it was the worst bit and I’m like really!????

I’m not taking painkillers they prescribe if I’m not in pain as don’t want sickness and a big belly! 🙂

    Hi Zoe
I had my op on Tuesday and I had the drains too and trust me they wasn’t an issue at all for me and I’m a big baby when it comes to pain, not that I knew that though lol. Anyway you will be fine even though I’ve had pain it seems I’m in the minority so if you can sit through 4 hours of tattoos I’d say you’ll sail through this. Happy new boobie day for Tuesday xx

You’re welcome Zoe. Totally agree with you with regards to this forum! It’s great for askin questions/finding out information – but like you say, can be very conflicting and make you over think about EVERTHING! I took everything people said during my pre-op ohase with a pinch if salt. Everyone has their own views/opinions/pain threshold etc. but I promise you… As much as having an operation is horrid, it the anticipation of it is so much worse than what it actually is!

The drains look scarier that what they actually are! When I saw them after my op… I dreaded their removal the entire afternoon…(they’re quite long with a bag at the end…) so made such a fuss when the nurse came to remove them… But when she did the first one … We laughed because I was like… ‘Oh… Is it done?!’ Haha. The actual tube in your skin is so tiny it literally feels like a tiny scratch, if that. :)! I found that I felt far more comfortable when they were out too.
If you have any other worries or questions, just ask – happy to give my pennies worth… Right now, I don’t hve much bit do other than read magazines, watch tv and look at this forum! Haha!

Gail, I hope you’re starting to feel better now!! I feel like I’ve got off lightly compared to you!! Xx

Thanks Jackie you’ve honestly made me feel heaps better!! Well I shall be joining you with the boredom from Tuesday onwards! Have you been out the house? I’m actually thinking of staying house bound for the entire week until post op seeing as I can’t shower and my hair will be rancid without washing it but I don’t mind staying in like a little hermit for a week and a week only!

No, I’ve not been out of the house ANC I don’t plan to :). My hair already looks like shite and I’m only a day post op :)! I had to get my bf to brush it and put it up for me today… So you can imagine what it looks like! Pah – bless him, he did try his best!

I’m excited for you – let me know how you get on!! Look forward to having you in the boobie crew! Xx

Oh god my hair is so long and thick I don’t know how my hubby is going to wash it all and then put mousse in as its curly oh my I’m not even going to think about that…LOL!

Hey Charley! Yes I’m at Highgate! What Dr are you having? Are you excited/nervous!? What implants are you getting? 🙂

    Hi Zoe & Jackie
I don’t feel too bad today thank god, best I’ve felt since the op, my hubby has showered me and washed my hair. I’ve managed to eat some soup today too. I’ve checked my boobies out too and must admit they’re looking good however they feel numb, strange , as though I’ve got someone else boobs on me lol , they don’t feel part of me yet and I’m scared to touch them in case they break lol.
My bloating is slowly going down too even though I’ve still not been to the toilet.
I’ve not been out the house either apart from sitting in the garden a little and I don’t plan on going anywhere till I can shower and do my hair myself. I’ve decided I’m not going back to work Monday might have another week off because I don’t think I’ll be comfortable driving..
How’s your boobs looking Jackie? Xx

I am actually in love with my boobs… I keep looking at them and I can’t quite believe they’re mine :)! I love the shape – I had rounds and they look so lovely and full :)! I can’t wait to see what they look like when they drop and settle down! I’m so pleased that I decided not to tell Dr Schiavone to go with the biggest size… He actually went for 385 on one and 415 in the other, which I think are going to be the perfect size once the swelling gone down. I can feel one but the one with 415 in is a little numb. They’re not as hard as what I’d thought they’d be – quite soft!
I’ve took pre and post pics yesterday and took 2 more today which I want to upload but I can’t get them on here at the mo, which is annoying! So pleased that you’re feeling better today! I’ve got all next week off and which I’m pleased about – then my 1 weeks check up on Fri. Had a call from the nurse today too, just checking up on how my op went and how I felt, which I thought was too. I was pretty lucky too as ally nurses at Droitwich were lovely! Xx

I only was told that my implants were the natrelle responsive ones, what can u have other than the round and teardrop?, I know I didn’t have the teardrop.
Can you remember your nurses names, I had Mary who was lovely and Mandy who was, well I can’t say she was nasty but more shall we say nonchalant.
Mine are quite hardish to touch and I’ve got a different sports bra on too while my Macon washes and must say I have a nice round look at the top, lol. Can’t wait to put the Macon back on though because this ones not that comfy.
I’ve just had a call of my PC just wanting to know how I am, I bet we have the same PC don’t we xx

Pass – I’m not too sure shape wise, we didn’t discuss anything other than teardrop and round because DR Schiavone advised that due to my shape – round was definitely what I should be going for and not tear drop to avoid having a gap where my cleavage should be! Yeah, the main nurse I had was Liz, I can’t remember the other nurses name that took my drains out – she was an older lady (slightly plumper! :)!)

Quite possibly – who is your PC? Mine is Amanda!

Liz, so frustrating!! I reckon they’ll sort it Monday maybe! I want to share my new additions with you all though :(!! Xx

    Hi Ashleigh,

Well… On the way home from hospital I could feel every bump in the road… But, I think of you pad yourself out with pillows on the seat/around you – you may be ok.

Are you have unders or overs? If unders… I don’t think I would advise it! Xx
