I asked about EVERYTHING – CC’s, policies, MRSA risks, surgeon experience/whether they work for the NHS at all/how much training they’ve had etc, warranties on implants, the benefits of different shape implants, surgery success rates and complication rates, cover if anything goes wrong. If you have any allergies ask if you’re at risk (ie to latex), payment methods and finance options. If you ask a lot of questions about it, you come across as well informed and they seem to respond well to that, I think they must get a good number of people who come in and want to get on the table for surgery ASAP without really thinking it over!
They can’t give you a specific price for your surgery, or recommend implant sizes, incision points etc. So I’d save that for when you see a surgeon. But when I met my PC she was friendly, informal, happy to discuss anything I wanted and made as much as she could clear to me before I left. Try not to worry too much, if you forget anything you can always email, text or call your PC when you remember, they give you an info pack to read too – so that answers a lot. 🙂 Good luck!
