LADIES :-

if you put in your name AND MYA in the search box … all the posts on these forums are getting listed on the world wide web!!

no body can look at your ALBUM because they have to be connected with you as a friend to see the pics but they can read everything you ever posted even from last few years…. this is terrible…

MYA – please change this… talk to your TECH GUYS!

Thanks for highlighting this Sxy. It’s so hard to keep things private online. Never use your real name on these kind of things. I’ve used only ‘Caz’ right from the start as I didn’t think MYA would have done anything to protect our privacy. I would suggest take out facial photographs of yourself too, it’s not worth the risk.

MYA could stop the indexing of their forums… atleast from google’s search box

why not state that before one becomes a member of MYA… and also clarify that the posts will be indexed by google… !!

Ladies here are using their real names and pics … I was going to use my pic as well and then my husband told me not to use my real pic and also my name… which made me think… searched my name and MYA on google and there I was !!

Absolutely not on!!
I have also been trying to change my “@surxxxx” and I do not know how to do that… !! This is just terrible…

Ive been trying to change my email too but cant! We need our email address to have an account but why cant this be private? I can understand our user names being accessible but surely MYA can hide our email name!! X

That’s why I don’t hVe a profile pic or use my first name.. That’s how I gathered my info from the forum before I joined.. I’d search a question and mya forum., and if your album is public you can see some of you guys albums (not YOU guys specifically) but members of myas forum xxx

Also (sorry if it’s been said already) but you can also edit your profile to only be visible to logged in users.. At least then only mya community can see stuff.. Hope that helps xx

I took my profile picture off a while ago because I was searching MYA my surgeons name and the operation I wanted and my picture came up on google images. I’ve just done this again now and recognise a lot of the pictures of people I have spoken to about the op have come up! So I don’t think you even need your name in there for images to appear on google.
