Girls I seem to have a million questions so please feel free to answer them.

Sleep- How do you sleep? I know they say upright but with the v pillow can you kind of lie down a bit? Is it best to maybe sleep on the sofa as I have recliners.

Bathing- How do you get clean? I know you can’t get the insions wet and I’m also having lipo so I’m wondering just how I’ll be able to keep clean.

Diet- Do you think because I won’t be able to exercise, I’d be best to be a little more strict with my diet? I can comfort eat easily so I don’t want to feel worse after all.

Pain killers- A lot of people have said there pain killers are no go, would I be best sticking to Nurofen or something similar? I also wonder whether to ask my doctor for some sleeping tablets.

Bras- What size bra should I buy? And am I best buying the malcom? I’m thinking of getting at least two maybe three so I can wash them. Maybe one malcom and two sports bras.

Laying down for me was just…ugh… no, it was the worst thing ever lol I did it day one then sle upright on the couch for 4 weeks afterwards ;_; it was the only painful part of recovery tbh, you get *morning boob* tight feeling in your chest, I found it to be minimal when sleeping upright!

I took shallow baths but I’m not too sure how it would go with lipo? Perhaps get a tankini top to wear in the shower?

If you can just stick to your normal diet, any major changes during healing aren’t advisable just try to keep it healthy as possible 🙂

I took disprin extra strength, only needed pain killers for 3 days an the all was good again 🙂

Macom or SportsJock D3 are the best/safest bet, as they have expanding cups and are front fastening. I have a macom which I am going to wear right after, then I will measure my size when I’m home and order another couple of bras online, I hear the asda and tesco ones are pretty good!

    1. I’ve been sleeping on the sofa, just for a week. I have a pillow behind my lower back and V pillow in front of that. I was told that I didn’t need to be completely sat up, just elevated (say a 45 degree angle)

    2. Shallow baths, body wipes and today I had a shower but angled so I didn’t get my boobs wet at all.

    3. I’m a massive gym freak usually. I’ve been really strict with diet (I eat pretty healthily anyway tbh) but also I’m going out less and not drinking alcohol for a month so all that should help keep the weight off. Also doing long slow walks with the dog.

    4. I had no issues whatsoever with any of my medication. I stopped taking the painkillers pretty soon as I didn’t feel I needed them. I’m sure Nurofen would do a good job too but you can’t take paracetamol with some of the pills they give you.

    5. Defo get a Macom, I found them much more comfy in the first few days when I was tender. They aren’t cheap though unfortunately. M&S zip fronts good too. Get one in a larger size than the cup you expect to be. The Macom cups are expandable which is helpful too.

    Hi Rebecca
1/ I didnt buy a V pillow i carested my own triangle shape with about 5 pillows in my bed I also made sure i had a pillow on either side of my chest so that if I rolled when asleep they would be cushioned and supported. i slep upright for about 2 weeks and then I started to get flatter and flatter naturally in my sleep althjough I kept my side pillows to support my boobs this was really helpful when i started to sleep on my side again which was in about week 3/4.
2/ i had wash basin baths as well as very shallow baths. as other people have siad baby wiped are a life saver to get in between boobs and on the first couple of days post op when u can barely lift your arms. Highly recommend getting some dry hair shampoo so u dont have to wash your hair for the first few days as that is a killer.
3/ I was a gym feak i have gained about a stone but i wont be going the gym until i am told everything is helaed properly these boobies are way too expensive to mess around with and il loose it once Im back.
4/ I am a wuss i took all the painkillers I could get i was discharged with tramadol and paracetamol, took it regularly so that the pain didnt become excruiating, the first 10 days for me were the worst then it did start to improve and im now great.
5/ I didnt get a macom i bought M&S Extra high support bras in a 2 pack they were grest still wearing them also bought an asda one which was rubbish not supportive enough.

Thanks so much for the replies girls!!

So I think I’m a 34 B/C so should I buy the Medium or Large Malcom bar?

I really need some more guidance on lipo as I’m not sure whether it’s truly worth it for the benefits. Wish more girls here had had it 🙁
