    Hi Girls,

I am due to have rhino with Dr G in Jan and went I went for my consultation with him I saw a PC after who told me that they prefer for you to stop taking the pill or in my case have my implant taken out but she did say that I could leave it in if i had too, anyone else stayed on the pill during surgery or does anyone have an implant and didnt take it out? I will ask at my pre op too but i so dont want to take it out and then have it put back in again. I still have about a year and 6 months left before it needs to be replaced. Thanks for your help xxx

I dont know about the smoking but they say stop smoking, drinking and the pill 2 weeks before surg. The pill\implant is because it increases your risk of dvt while you are under. I dont really want to take my implant out either. Drama hey girls! xxx

The reason for smokin is the healing process from wot ive been told..the scars etc heal better as a non smoker and the surgeons just suggest no smoking or drinkin two three wks b4 n after i havent a clue why they tell u to stop the pill x

i had a uplift last year and my surgeon said it was fine to keep taking the pill, i think it depends on the surgeon. the risks of the pill causing complications are very very low. i don’t know about the implant tho but would like to coz i’ll be getting it soon and getting another op x
