    Hi girls,going for my 7 day post op tomorrow and theyre removing my stitches and fabric strapping..does the removal of stitiches hurt? i need to know what to expect x

    Hi jimmy, not sure if yours a different but mine are dissolvable stitches. I thought everyone had them?! bet u can’t wait for tomorrow x

    nope mine are the old fashioned stitches and i have different strapping to you,mines like soft fabric stuck down with plasters..im nervous but excited bout tomo 12pm!x

    Hi hun. was there a reason you had normal and not dissolvable stitches? I need a re-op coz I had problems with the dissolvable ones with my first op x

    @kathryn hi hun,its just my surgeon prefers the normal stitches hes old fashioned, he also doesnt use drains or normal strapping his names dr chantrasak (hes fab) and neat! i think alot of surgeons use dissolvable ones nowadays as theyre less likely to leave scar marks which i am worried about..what happened with yours? did tey get infected? x

    no they just didn’t seem to work, my incisions opened up in a few places, after a while I started getting lumps which would burst with pus, my surgeon said my body was having a reaction to the remaining stitches x

    Ye my surgeon using dissolvable and infact I’m more worried they will open up with the dissolvable :/ can we ask for the removable stitches instead? X
