    Does anyone know what is causing this bloated tummy? Im sure its not the GA because my belly was not bloated yesterday as it is today :,( its causing me more pain as i feel my boobs are stretching and my belly too. Im not going to take anymore co-dydramol tablets, only the antibiotic course. Please do you have any other advice to relieve my bloated tummy. I took lactulose too incase it was constipation.

    I was bloated too and found charcoal tablets from Holland and barrats worked and plenty of fruit did the trick. I stopped taking co-codomol and just take 500mg paracetomol x

    It’s your body trying to flush the GA out of your system, can take a few days to kick in and it’s a right pain! I looked 6months pregnant lol. It’s the onset of constipation and water retention, drink LOTS of water to flush it all out, you can also get tablets called Aqua Ban from places like holland and barret which can help, the only thing that worked for me was laxative Pico liquid and broccoli cup a soup ;_;

    I had the same problem post op. I was beginning to worry as I looked like 4 months pregnant! I spoke to the clinic nurse and she said that it was normal because of the an anaesthetic and pain relief (codydyramol) that I was taking. I drank a lot of water and had a glass of prune juice (not very nice!) but it did the trick! The swelling eventually decreased every single day 😉

    Spoke to the nurse hun, it was the pain relief that was given when we had the op and the pain killers as they have codeine in them, they constipate. The nurse said to take a mild laxative. Its horrible i feel like a balloon. X
