I’m ready to go ahead and book my surgery date, I originally wanted to book my surgery for the beginning of February but Im worried I won’t be able to look after my kids, my daughter is 10 so she will be fine but my little boy is 17months. I’ll be taking a week off work but I’m worried about the times I’m on my own with him when my partner is at work.

I can’t decide if to wait until next July when it’s the school holidays so my daughter can help me and my little boy will be 2.

Have any of you got children and how did you cope with looking after then after your BA? And how long before you can pick them up?

I honestly didn’t get any pain until day 4/5 I made sure the house was tidy b4 I went to hospital and got few items of clothing ready for me and my little girl and made sure there was food in the cupboards. My daughter goes to crèche while I’m in work so I just dropped her there and spent the days at home chilling out. Then she went to her dads on the Friday night. I didn’t think about hoovering or anything strenuous- no point really I didn’t have any visitors cos I didn’t tell anyone. Only 2 of my best friends and they wouldn’t care if my house was messy lol. I honestly managed ok she was only 15 months old too. X

Ok thanks, my little boy is 18months old and my girl is 10 years old so she will help me out, my little boy will go the child minders in the day, just think I’m worried about lifting him in and out of the car and when they jump on you. I’ll prepare loads before then and get clothes ready for the week and food just to make it easier. X
