    Hey ladies,

    I’ve always thought I was a 34b, 10 days ago I had my ba. I brought a 34dd shock absorber and a macom bra. The shock absorber didn’t fit but the 34″ macom did. Today I was fitted for a sports bra. The lady in the shop said there was no way I was a 34 more like a 30 so I ended up with a 30e nursing bra lol. Has this happened to anyone else?

    You were wearing the wrong band before. A lot of places add 4ins to your measurement which is incorrect. All though a 34 may have been comfy it wasn’t supportive, so 30 is your correct band size and will have always been your band size. x

    So question then: my measurement under the bust is 29 inches, what band size would I be? I’ve never understood bra sizes at all.

    Its meant to be your measurement under your bust is your band size then the difference between your band and the fullest part of your bust is your cup size so if you @Deb119C are 29 you’de get 30 then say if you had 3 inches diff between cup and band it would be a 30c
    Hope that makes sense!! – and the whole silly method of adding 4 inches to the band measurement is prolly why I went around in ill fitting 34C/D bra’s throughout my teens until I discovered La-Senza and my band size 30E (back then) now its a 32C/30D depending on what store.

    Yep as said above your band is 30ins, take your oversbust measurement and use the calculator at http://www.asophisticatedpair.com it’s brilliant x

    Cool, thanks. Bra sizes are too confusing. I’m not sure if I’ll be wearing many once I get my BA done, in my experience they never fit well, though that could be because I have to wear bigger sizes than I should due to having such a small chest right now. Cannot wait to be buying regular size bras! So I take it you just buy the band that’s closest to your actual measurement?
