Hey girls. I’m 6 days post op and having trouble sleeping. Have not slept properly since the operation.
I’m now struggling to get comfy sat up and my back is in half.
Anyone having this same problems or got a tips to share? I’m at my wits end 🙁

Hey Hun, I stacked up my pillows and used a neck cushion. I brought the v pillow but the feathers kept poking out and found it not very useful. I’ve slept like an angel this way and had no problems whatsoever ever.

3 pillows stacked up, 1 pillow under lower back/side of 3 pillows and neck cushion
Also if u have one under ur knees this keeps u from sliding down

As EmilyJo says, it’s all about pillow stacking! Good luck x

Have u tried a electric blanket? Just on a low heat? Will help with your back and make you more comfy, there only £15-£20 from tesco xxx @hannah

This sounds horrible. I am such a bad sleeper anyway so this worries me the most! I can only sleep on my stomach. I really don’t know how I will cope. Does anybody know how long it took before they could sleep on their front again? x

@fiona from reading posts on here I think even once your healed, once you’ve had implants sleeping on your front is very uncomfortable. They say 10-14 days and you should be able to sleep on your side. I kept wanting to roll over last night but just wasn’t comfortable plus u need to be upright to help your breasts to settle and stay in place as you don’t want wonky boobs xxx

Im 17 days and couldnt sleep on my side yet it does get better once any pain eases, recovery starts etc you rbody will naturally allow you to sleep more on your back and sleep more soundly,i slept upright for about 9 days and then on and off i still sleep with various pillows and get numb bum and can wake to morning boob it just takes time xx

i was in so much pain with my back it hurt more than my front!!

i slept with a duvet folded up behind me an pillows around me, and one of these neck pillows: http://www.amazon.co.uk/Motionperformance-Essentials-Comfort-Support-Traveling/dp/B008VABY10/ref=sr_1_3?s=kitchen&ie=UTF8&qid=1385582529&sr=1-3
(but on ebay for like £3)

and a hot waterbottle under my back lol

I had lipo, not a BA, but also really battled to sleep for the first week, and I’m a big sleeper, so it was tough. Plus we wear a really restrictive hard inner foam vest under a compression garment, so movement is really awkward and lying on your side practically impossible at first. Then when you lie on your back/upright all night you get numb bum..
Best result I found was, as all the girls say on here, loads of pillows, but in a gentle slope giving your back a reclining angle rather than totally upright, and then 2 painkillers to knock you out! Works a treat :o) good luck – it does get better xxx
