You will be fine! You will have to sign a disclaimer to say that you agree that there can be added complications…the nurse explained that there is a small electrical current which stops bleeding (not entirely technical there, sorry!) which can jump to anything metal in your body so you can get a slight burn but this is unlikely. I couldn’t get piercings out of my ear and they were fine I just had to tell them and they put sticky tape on it and they specifically said lots of girls have anchors and they just cover them. I have dermals in my back and asked the nurse if I could sign a disclaimer so I didn’t have to have them removed and she said no. Apparently she asked the top bosses and looked into for me but I still have to get them removed, I really don’t want them removed though I don’t understand why I can’t just sign something and that be that, like Lauren said I’ve seen posts on here about girls not being able to get piercings out and they were still allowed to go ahead with it! But she didn’t really give me a choice in the matter! x

Yeah I think I’m going to argue the case a bit more-the nurse came across a bit funny about it! I see no issue with signing a declaration…it is my body and I am paying them to do it lol Having to have them cut out just seems unnecessary, plus i’ve heard it bloody hurts! I won’t be needing any more pain on top of the boobie pain i’ll be getting afterall haha xxx

Hi girls, I had a plastic belly bar in and they removed that in surgery lol and gave it to my mom so I doubt you will be able to keep metal in xx

I’ve got a nose piercing and that I’ve been told I have to take out, would you rather be safe or sorry and also the surgery has the right to postpone the Surgery if he or she feels you are at risk. Small things can cause big complications..
