Hi
I am new to the forum but would be really grateful if anyone could offer any advise please? 🙂
I recently been quite poorly and I thought it may of been due to me possibly having PIP impants – I just had a really bad virus and am OK now so nothing to do with the impants but now I am better I thought I should look after my health more and as I have had my impants in for a while (since approx 1999/2000) I should look into getting them changed. I had my implants done by a company which has now gone into liquidation (gone bust lol) so cant find out for certain if they are PIP’s but I have been in touch with my surgeon’s secretary who believes that around the year 1999/2000 my surgeon / the company he owned was using PIP implants.
I have been and had a consultation with Mr Traynor at MYA who is a great guy and has given me three options.
1. Implants still soft and are not ruptured (had scan to prove this also) and as I have never had any problems so why change them (I like his honesty)? Therefore shall I just leave them for a few more years and save myself some money?
2. As they have been in a while get them changed to the latest ones, but then I have the worry of something going wrong and double bubble (do you get this more with re-augmentation – I would have larger implants over the muscle?).
3. Change implants and have uplift. Mr Traynor said that uplift is not really necessary as I only have slight sag. I don’t really want this as I wouldn’t like the scars although my dilemma is as I am going with a bigger implant will they make my boobs droop more or will the implant lift them slightly?
I just cant make my mind up, I think I am going with option 2 but would be really grateful of any advise / what you would do.
Many thanks for your time xx
