My op is in feb so I’m booking the time off of work this week, the only thing is I don’t know if I should tell them what I’m actually having done or not?! I work in an office with all men so it’s a bit of an awkward thing to ask for time off for? I don’t know if I should just ask for the time off and not tell them what for (and hope they don’t really notice when I get back!) or just say I’m having an op so need the week off to recover. I just know if I say that they will obviously ask if I’m ok and I’ll have to explain that it is cosmetic and I’m not ill and then I know they’ll all be wondering what i’m having done or maybe ask me questions. Did anyone else have this problem or does anyone have any suggestions? x

Maybe just say your having an op and say its personal!! U don’t have to tell them anything.. or don’t tell them at all! A lot of people say they are fine after a week especially working in an office its not like you’re heavy lifting. What date in feb hun? I’m on 12th, seems like ages away waiting!! xx

I’m thinking either don’t tell them at all or just say I’m having an op and it’s personal! I’m just worried if I don’t tell them at all and then I come in with massive boobs that they’ll be suspicious and talking about me :S mines on the 18th, i know it feels like ages! i’m hoping it’ll go quick though! xx

To be honest its nobody’s business anyway so if they talk about you or they ask you if you’ve had them done then you don’t have to tell them anything!Just cross the bridge when u come to it and try not to stress. ah yay i know another girl is on the 8th so we can all be boobie buddies! i hope its quick I’m so scared but so excited! x

yeah true! i booked my date a few days ago and now it’s finally booked im soo scared and getting stressed out about everything! just trying to stay calm and think everything will be fine once its all done! so exciting! x

Just an idea, you can put extra fillets in your bra and slowly add more nearer to your surgery that way people just think nothing of it lol besides non their bussiness as Becky said, goodluck x

@emma I have always wore extremely padded bras and I didn’t want work knowing so told them I fell off a ladder decorating and fractured a rib, it has worked brill and tied in with having a tender chest!! Good luck xxx

@Emma Heyy, Ive not told my work either, I go in on the 13th. I gave 2 weeks notice and said I was having a personal op. They didn’t ask any questions really, I did say I didn’t want anyone to know I was having an op to avoid questions after and just said if anyone ask I’ve taken holiday. Seems to have worked!! Touch wood. Im hoping they don’t really notice..!! Ive also been wearing extremely padded bras too to make it slightly less obvious.

Why dont u say nothing..then u wont have to b concerned bout them talkin bout u pre op then get ya seven days sick which u can verify with the sick note mya give u and make anything up then bout wot happened like @samanthas suggestion then u can explain the tight chest etc x
