Hey all! New here so wanted to say hi 🙂

Am in the consultation stage of procedure, saving hard for July as that’s when I’m planning on surgery… Thought it would be a great time to join here and read about everyone else’s experiences and stories!

I did go through all the consultation phases 5 years ago and gave myself a deadline that if I was still serious after researching etc by the time I hit 30 then will go ahead with it… Well I’m 3 months away from 30 and still as serious about it as I ever was so now is the right ine to go ahead! 🙂

Looking forward to getting to know people and researching some more, no doubt plenty of annoying questions from me at some point! Haha 🙂

Maybe it’s a 30 thing for some of us then! Am saving the funds myself so will be booking for July I think, excited about the consultation process as went through it all before so know what to expect in that sense but it’ll feel one step closer which I’m sure you’ve all been through the same!

Have only told very select people, not looking forward to telling any family members as they are very against it I remember the last time 🙁
It’s actually nice being around people who have been through it and also have an understanding x

The only part that slightly puts me on edge is the 1st week after op, as I’m a carer for mum since she had a heart attack bout 21 months ago and she’s limited in some of the stuff she can and can’t do and on a bad day I do literally most things like cooking, cleaning, working full time etc, can book at least a week off work as holiday that’s not a problem, it’s the no lifting and getting people to help thing that the doctors advise, for me I have no help so hoping I’m still going to be able to dress myself etc afterwards otherwise that’s gonna be pretty awkward lol x
