i think im one of many girls who are just so confused about cup sizes. i think most of us say we want to be DD its like a well solrt after cup size, arguably the most popular with BAs but its occured to me after looking at post op girls that i dont actually want to be this size. and i think my view of cup sizes is distorted. i think actually i want to be more of a DDD/E cup? im currently having 525cc from a B cup. can anyone advise me on if im going to get the size im expecting?
so worried as im days away from the op now

@Scarlett
Hey chick, an implant size does NOT determine a cup size I’ve posted this before on another post but here it goes again lol your surgeon will evaluate your anatomy and listen to what size you want however it’s good to provide images of the type of size and look your after as his/her cup size may be different to what you have in mind, ddifferent brand bras also measure different and again the bigger you start off with the bigger the result.. Everyone is different lovely and sometimes the forum can be infleuncive don’t worry yourself about the size the implant size your having will give you a wonderful result as your starting off with breast tissue already are you a full cup btw? Xx
Your view of cups IS distorted as it many ladies! The CUP is actuallly no reference to size at all, your bra size is more to do with the band than anything else, the cup is simply the amount of fabric needed AFTER the band to hold the breast in place, a D cup is very different in a 32,34,36 ect all the bras in the pic below are D cups,
see how different they are? Your idea, my idea and your Drs idea of what a D is will be very different, you’re always better to find pics of models/celebs size you like and show them to your Dr rather than ask for a cup size.
All these ladies are a D again very different. Hope this helps and I’ve added a link at the bottom that might help x

girls what a massive help you are!! i though i was getting confused, so really i need to stop worrying about the letter? and @candybabey i am not a full B, im a small B but having my boys made the skin stretch and now the skin in the size of a C
i agree that everyones idea is different and thats why ive been so so worried that my pc is saying yes thats a good size, my surgeon is agreeing and im sat pettrified we’re all imagining diff sizes!!
ive emailed pics to my pc and shes forwarding them to the surgeon for me. what size do you think a small B will be with 525cc??
XX
@chellefish I started with a very small deflater b cup and had 525cc and I am fitting very snugly into a FF/G bra (i’m only 6 days post op so i have no idea what size they will be when the fluff and settle into my body 🙂 Everyone’s body seems to take implants differently. Did you say that you want to’ measure’ or ‘look’ to your surgeon? I said I want to look a full E/F and as implants measure bigger than they look I’m thinking I will stay around the FF/G bra size… xxx
Thank you @happyme please please can i have a nose at your results. i said i wanted to be a DD, now i realise how stupid that is! so i actually dont know what size i want to measure, but i know 100% how i want to look, i just have to translate that correctly to my surgeon!
I cant believe how confusing all this is, and my whole life ive just been wondering around not having a clue how boobs are measured.
its unbelieveable how simple it is, but maybe media or something has distorted all our views. @kaydeestafford i read your blog and finally get it! my back size is measuring 31, so im a 32? so 32B and i want to increase that by a fair few inches!

@Scarlett
We’ll again that’s an advantage aswell the more stretched tissue the less pain so my surgeon says and it’s living proof as girls with total flat chest fluff slower as their skin need to stretch more..
Its estimated a cup size is around 100-150cc. I’d say about 3-4 cup sizes bigger but again can’t determine and yes I think you will get an E only because you’ve mentioned you have breast tissue their already and with that you’ve sent over images so trust the surgeon and I’m sure you will get a brill result. Keep positive b xx
If your measurement is 31 around the back and 33 across the bust then yes you would be a 32 B. You can put your measurement in to the calculator at a sophisticatedpair.com if it helps x
Thank you @candybabey i didnt realsie how much this process would require me to trust my surgeon. I thought before all this i just had to find someone who wouldnt do a botched job, but now im in the thick of it i can beleive how hard it is to sit back and trust he has the same vision as me and that he understands my expectations!!
I’m trying on sizes again this thursday before my op on saturday and Mr Mounir is looking over them pics today, so i’ll listen to his suggestion THEN try it on thursday and see if they match up. fingers crossed!!

@kaydeestafford, i dont fully understand how to measure the bust…do you mean around the actual boobs? so the same as below but just a bit higher up?
XX
No problem
Sweety. Goodluck let me know how you get on xx
IF you go on to : http://www.sophisticatedpair.com/bracalculator.htm the calculator is there as well as a diagram of where to measure, your underbust is the top of your ribs/under the breast and the bust measurement is the fullest part of your breast, usually right across the middle of them. x
Alas! I am a 32B @kaydeestafford that website is amazing! I will be keeping that as a bookmark to measure myself post op!
