MrG cleaned inside my nose when I went to see him – he gave it a good rubbing, so it mustn’t do any harm – you could do it. mine is so much clearer now. He also squeezed my cast 4 times, I was like ‘ouch!’! xx

I have stitches all around my nostrils though bab, I didn’t want to mess anything up!
Bought a saline wash now too, can’t wait for stitches out and a good rinse.
What did drG use to clean your nose? Xx

My stitches are round the base of my columella, I know you will have a few more with alar base reduction though. Well, he shoved cotton buds right up and rubbed them round for ages, it was v uncomfortable – felt like they’d come out of the top of my head! He dipped them in disinfectant – try hydrogen peroxide 50/50 (from paharmacy). He was really rough, but it removed all all the debris and I can breathe almost fully through my nose! He also said I could use otrivine spray (they gave me that at A&E) which clears the nostrils and upper airways – it’s bliss! xxx
