One day post… Being sent home with no strapping?!!!!! Started by: Kate

    Is this normal? Although I’d love to not have the discomfort of strapping I’m slightly apprehensive as to why… I asked the nurse and she said she didn’t know… I’ve had 375/400 cc unders. Anyone else get sent home without the strapping? And should oho back to mya on Monday to double check?

    Help!! Xx

    I think it depends on who your surgeon is not all surgeons use strapping xx

    Yeah I guess… Although It means il be more comfortable which is great I don’t want to risk my new twins not looking as good for the end result! I think I might just call him in the morning and ask … Thanks love! Xx

    Who was your surgeon?

    Think it’s is dependent on surgeon some just send u home in a sports bra.

    I was researching on an American site which had a number of surgeons offering advice on whether to wear sports bra or post op bra and most of them said any bra is fine as long as it didn’t have underwire but some support. Many of the us surgeons said normal bra ok after 3 weeks if incisions heal…go figure! Not advocating this just saying what some of them said. Think it’s call real self.

    Seems it’s down to the individual surgeon?

    Enjoy the freedom of not having it!

    Yeah that’s true chick if you look at people’s post op photos they all have different strapping it depends on what surgeon you have, I had mounir yesterday and no strapping which I’m happy about cos apparently strapping is uncomfortable and really itchy once off!! As long as you have a good sports/support bra on you will be fine xx

    When I had my first op with 465 and 495 unders I was to wear nothing for 6 weeks so everyone is different.. could be beacause he wants them to drop naturally.. but if ya really unsure just give them a call hun xx congrats on your opp by the way xx

    Not all surgeons use strapping, each surgeon use their own techniques and.this would have been explained at your initial consultation with your surgeon
    Some use drains some don’t use drains, some use open strapping some used closed it’s what they use doesn’t mean your end result will not be great. Congrats on your new boobs.

    I had 415 unders yesterday but Dr Mounir and had no strapping or drains, that’s just how he works. All surgeons work different. How’s your pain? I’m struggling still : ( xx

    i didn’t have strapping, i just wore a sports bra xx
