Wen do I stop drinking? X

You should not eat for 6 hours before and drink later than 2 hours before the surgery.
Once you get there just present an ID at reception, and a girl will take you to your room.

Make sure you don’t have any piercing, jewellery, makeup or deodorant on.
And get slippers and comfy clothing with you.

I didn’t show them any ID at all? I wasn’t even told to take any with me. As for drinking up to two hours before you are only allowed water. You’re not even allowed to chew chewing gum after your no food time. Don’t worry too much Hun you’ll be fine xx

I showed them my driving licence, but to be honest they didn’t ask for anything.
But is good to have something to prove your identity.
The nurse told me to bring something just in case.
And yes, water only, and just few sips as Kelbel mentioned.

What I did to forget about thirsty and hunger that morning, I took a nice movie with me on my laptop, so I watch it in the room at the hospital. It will take your mind off for a while…

And one nurse told me that is better to brush my teeth without toothpaste to avoid swallowing anything. Not even water before the surgery.
