Hi I’m fairly new to this forum!
Been researching for a while now in having a BA and thought this would be a good forum to join as everyone seems so helpful!
What are the pros and cons for unders and overs?
Are the allergen implants better than silicone ones?
What sizes did you go for/looking to go for? And what’s your height/other measurements?
I’m a size 8 and 5ft 9.5 and virtually flat chested.
Want to be a full C cup (ish)
Any advise for anything else I’d be so grateful to hear 🙂
I’ve always been so self conscious so will be a huge relief when they’re done!
Thanks 🙂
Hi Lizzie, Welcome 🙂
Partial / Unders, are usually offered to those with little or no breast tissue, to give you a better look. Overs are offered to those who have some breast tissue. Cons for partials/unders takes longer to heal, overs don’t take as long. Partial/Unders have a slightly lesser chance of rippling. I think all implants MYA use are made by allergen.
Natrelleâ„¢ TruFormâ„¢ comes in 4 gel options for the desired look and feel, from the softest formation to the firmest:
•TruForm™ 1 is a traditional soft cohesive gel, formerly known as Responsive, featured on Natrelle™ INSPIRA, which is very responsive and moulds to the desired breast shape.
•Featured on Natrelle™ INSPIRA and Natrelle™ 410, TruForm™ 2 is a form of stable cohesive silicone gel, formerly known as Soft Touch ™, which is ideal when a natural feel with added shape control is desired.
•Known previously as Cohesive, TruForm™ 3 is the original form stable cohesive gel, uniquely featured on Natrelle™ 410.
•TruForm™ Dual Gel is an exclusive formulation combining two Form Stable gels, TruForm™ 3, and an even firmer cohesive gel on the anterior portion of Natrelle™ 510.
I’m currently a 36A/34B, Hoping to achieve a DD/E. I was offered overs, 445/500CC Soft touch implants (going for 500CC). Everyone always says choose the largest the surgeon offers you, so I am 🙂 I don’t want to spend £4600 to then wish I’d gone bigger. I’m 5ft3″ size 8/10.
Ok so most likely ill be offered unders? Ah so many different types! How do you chose?!
Ok cool, are you booked in yet?
What clinic are you going to? I’m living in Birmingham atm so was thinking about going there if it has good reviews?
How old are you if you don’t mind me asking? I’m 21
Mind if I add you?
Ok that’s really good advise, thanks!
I’m not sure I thought allergen were silicone but like a more sturdy version? I’m not sure! Are you still in pain from your op Liz?
Of course you can add 🙂
I live in Redditch and travel to MYA in brum. They’re lovely there, my PC is Wanda and she’s lovely, really easy to talk to and she patient, the amount of times I’ve had to call her to change something or ask questions, she’s always really happy to help. Victoria a lady from admin is also lovely. Really glad I went with MYA so far. I’m 21 also 🙂 My op is booked at Highgate with Mr Singh on the 9th of May.
I trust my surgeon so went for what he said, he’s been doing this for years and has done hundreds of procedures. He’ll know what’s best and they’ll always give good reason for what they think is best for you.xxx
Allergen have a website where you can read up on all there different implants if you proper wanna check into it, no no mor pain, I couldn’t even say I was in pain in beginning, the strapping was awful which bothered me more than boobs. And really just feels all a little awkward and need to adjust doing stuff for first week. I’d say I’m back to normal now just gotta remember even though I feel I can do stuff I mustn’t still x
Hey Lizzie I am size 8-10 and 5’10 currently a 32b and having 420 overs tomorrow with dr Singh. He said I should be a DD ish, want to look around a D. We have similar stats 🙂 x
Thanks! Added 🙂 Oh really, do you choose your own PC? They sound lovely! Okay, thanks! xx
Thanks Liz, i’ll look at that website! What is strapping? I’m so new to this i don’t know what that is? Unless its literally just being wrapped up in bandage?
Thanks also Becky! Mind if i add you too? As we have similar stats!
Also i have another question for everyone, the drains some people have? Do all surgeons use them? I’m not great with needles as it is but am willing to force myself to overcome it for the operation, – though the drains may be a different matter?
Yeah i think i’ll be around 300-400cc they’ll offer! We shall see.
How did you all pay for it? Did you have the money up front? / How long did it take you to save??
Yeah it’s basically a sticky bandage some surgeons use and it covers your boobs and holds them in place, not very comfy to say least! But only needed for 7 days and it seems to do a good job! As for drains, some surgeons use them, I was worried over them but honestly they are no big deal and actually are a lot better to have. When I saw the fluid that was drained I thought… Imagine that was all still inside me, gotta be better to have it out. X
Yeah its true! did you have someone come with you? x
No, I didn’t get to choose. I suppose if you ask to have her, you can.
I paid for the deposit up front and got the rest on finance through Tesco, I was getting some home improvements done anyway, so took a larger loan to reduce the interest rate. I’m too impatient to save haha xx
also – sorry for all the questions
how far in advance do you need to book?
can you book last minute? or do you have to book way in advance?
also who is the best surgeon to go to at birmingham?
Also how much is the deposit if your doing the monthly payment thing?
Hey hun. They do have late spaces. I had my consultation and was booked for surgery just for a months time. I saw another girl who literally had like 2 weeks between consultation and surgery. If u get a late space u do get discount. Also if u know anyone who has been to mya they will give u discount for that too. Can’t really answer the other questions. The deposit for me was £500 but I ended up paying in full on the day cos I haggled the price down. Not sure if the deposit is different on the monthly scheme. I think it is but not 100% xx
Silicone is allergen. Or allergen can be silicone. Lol don’t know which way round it is but I have allergen and they’re silicone. The company natrelle always use allergen implants xxx
Hi Amy,
Oh really? That sounds good! haha good idea to haggle! I am still a student, have 500£ for deposit and nothing else. But the guy said we could maybe postpone the payments monthly when i am in a job after i graduate next may and i can still have the op in june. I hope what he said was correct! I have my consultation monday and going to go for a late space thing hopefully end of may this year! what size did you go for? what are your stats?
Yasmin, thanks for that! 🙂 Either way, the allergen implants are good quality and less risk aren’t they?
Did you two have to have drains?
x
Yeah theyve got loads more layers so less chance of rupture etc why dont u go on the website it will tell u everything. No i didnt have drains or strapping xx
Allergan is the company and they make both Natrelle and CUI implants. Mentor are made by Johnson & Johnson.
