I took 10 days and if I’m honest I wish I had 2 weeks off as an uplift is a much bigger procedure than a normal BA and I struggled driving and even doing simple tasks when I went back to work xx

I’m an ambulance driver and I transport patients in wheelchairs and on stretchers. I have two weeks off but can’t do excessive lifting for 6 weeks! Worried the week I go back, I won’t be able to push or pull patients around. Can’t take any holiday and don’t wanna call in sick. Would be nice to know if Mya do sick notes incase I need another week :/ xxxxx

They should be able to write a note for you. I got a note for 4 weeks off. I work in care so wanted 4 weeks off. It’s for an agencie though so I’m going to have to request for statutory sick pay.

On the hmrc website there’s a sick absence form. (Incase anyone else needs too) I’m going to call my go today though to find out if I can just get one from them.

I just rang my gp and he wrote me a note for 2 weeks which he will extend if I need it xx
