    Hi 🙂

I’m hoping to have my boobs done end of July, I’m just a bit worried of how I will cope with the pain after, with having 2 children! Can anyone else share their experience?! I know I will be okay with the pain it’s just learning to adjust for a while to look after my children :s xxxx

I have 2 young children and have managed to cope just fine! Had some help straight after op but I’m now pretty much back to caring for them by myself you just have to everything differently than you normally would. Are you’re children quite young?x

The more help you can get the better. Pain affects people differently. Some can’t do anything for two weeks even like get out of bed others who have had fully unders are running round like headless chicken two days later. So you just don’t know til you have it done. On average you need a good week to two of help and the more you rest earlier on the quicker you heal x

Ah I see I will say although I was lucky and didn’t have any pain I still needed some help lifting my youngest who’s 15 months and luckily my other is 3 so don’t need to lift him but that’s all I really needed help with. You won’t know how much pain you will have until you have had your op so would be best to get as much help as you can just incase! My children were very confused for first week as I couldn’t hug them or pick them up which did upset me so prepare for that too but most people are back to normal pretty soon:)x

My children are 7 and 4 and I am a single mum. I have had very little pain and my 7 year old has been such a help so I have managed fine. My mam came to my house 4 days po to do hoovering, washing, dusting, wash pots etc but I am now 9 days po and can do evetything now apart from carry the hoover but can manage to hoover downstairs. I also had a friend pop by during first few days to drop sum milk and bread in.

I am 1 week post op and have been on my own since Tuesday with my 2 year old. I’m still in a bit of pain, mostly achey and stiff. I’ve struggled with things like changing her and have to get my hubby to lift her out of her cot before he goes to work as I can’t pick her up. The hardest part is not being able to go for a lie down during the day, I’m not sleeping great at night so am knackered! Like the girls have said previously you might be lucky and be over the pain in a couple of days! I thought I would be but everyone’s different xx

Thank you everyone 🙂 it’s the only thing that is worrying me.. I’ve had a c section in the past so going under the knife doesn’t worry me haha.. fingers crossed I’m not in a lot of pain :). Xxxx

Hi Chloe, my children are older, but I have 4 at home. 10,7,5,nearly 4, I had 10,7 year old home 2 days post op, and nearly 4 home day 3 post op, and 5 year old home day 4 post op. It’s been very hard work as I’m in a lot of pain, personally think I’m Doing to much but I can’t just sit. My hubby only had 2 days off as we run out own family buisness, my mam lives the next town and works full time. I’ve had no help from day 4 post op I’m day 9 post op now. I would say get as much help as u can, everyone is diff, I didn’t expect go b in this much pain to be honest thought I would sail it as I have good pain fresh hold. Xxx

I havnt had a csection but I rekon that would be a lot worse Chloe.

Chloe, I had the same worries as you before my ba. I had a c section too and same, not scared of the knife…
I called my mother in law to come help me with my 3yo girl because my husband was unlikely to be in the country. She had to come from abroad so it was added cost to my surgery but it worth every penny and the frustration of having her looking weird at my boobies :)) for two weeks.
My daughter is very demanding and she only goes to bed with me. It took a lot for her to understand we cannot cuddle for a while, I can’t carry her to bed in my arms and I can’t jump with her and do funny things for a while.
But yes, it spared me of cleaning, ironing, pushing the pushchair to nursery, carrying bags from the grocery shop…there is a lot of force in your arms that is needed and you don’t want to do that after ba.

I’m glad I’ve seen this post….I’m worrying too! I’m booked 22nd July and my girls will be 2 and 6 months then! My eldest was confused and didn’t understand why I couldn’t hold her etc after my c section and I’m worried she’ll b the same again! I’ve gone for July coz it’s school holidays so my little sister can help me….hoping my mam will take them to hers for the first few days then my sister can come up me for a few! Also worried my mam won’t help out of spite as she doesn’t want me to have the op! I recovered very well from both my c-sections so hopefully will from this too…fingers crossed!! As much help as u can get will always be a bonus!!!xxx

🙂 I’m glad I’m not the only one in this situation! Wish I’d of had it done before I had children but I suppose now I’ve had my babies I can get my body back in shape & my boobies most importantly as I’ve breastfed both my children & don’t have the volume that I used to have! I’ve never had boobs anyway and have always been in between b & c cup! Xxxxx

Yeh I’m worried about this too! Do any of you worry your doing the right thing because of them? I keep thinking if something happens to me how selfish I would look on the kids, but at the same time I need this doing!! I’ve given up my body for my 3 kids it’s time to do something for me! Good luck 🙂

I worried about this Kate but I am a single mum and I work and study to support my kids. I dont get any help looking after them to have my ba I had to send them to private nursery as my family are no help. So I see that I give everything to my kids so I deserved something for me. I have wanted this for the past 10 years so knew it was a thought through decision.

After having it dun it was defintly the right choice.

I do Kate! Took me a while to book coz I kept thinking ‘i could get them this, I could get them that’ etc but they don’t and have never gone without, in fact I give them the best I can! I’m still able to get them what I want them to have so I don’t feel as guilty now….and im trying not to think about anything going wrong!!!!im worrying know my boobs r gonna be wonky or I get rippling etc but I guess that’s common pre-op nerves!!! Xxx
